shifting from 2nd in stand still - bad idea?

u can skip gears if u want. i dont want to wear out the syncro's prematurely so i go through gears sequentially, or if doing a skipped gear downshift, i would double-clutch it.

This does absolutely nothing on our transmission. You may as well "triple-clutch" and hum a quick tune after letting out the clutch in neutral a second time.

let's say you're in 6th and drop to 4th... would you double clutch it?
