Default Floor Jack

I'm looking for a low profile, extra long floor jack to speed up lifting the Z. Currently, I'm using a standard size hydraulic floor jack to lift each side, one at a time at the rails and then support with stands.

I would love something that is low and long enough to fit through the front of the car so that I can use the front jacking point, which would save some time by allowing me to place stands on both sides at once.

I found a promising jack here, but the length is 32.5".. When I measured from the front of the Z to the jacking point, it was a little longer than that so I'm afraid the jack won't reach the jacking point. Does anyone have any recommendations for a floor jack that'll reach and work well? The Z is stock height with the chin spoiler.

Tried that jack before and still wont reach the support brace in front the lower chin would prevent you from doing so.

The only option you have is to get 4pc of 4x4 wood. Stack in two then let the car roll over it. That would give you the clearance.

harbor freight has low profile jacks for under 100

I bought my 2 from here.

Floor Jacks - Save on Automotive Floor Jacks at Harbor Freight

^ Penvy actually I also tried using that still had to use wooden blocks but then again my Z is lowered. That thing weighs a ton and its huge.

I had to return it cuz I have a small garage.

Yet you cant beat that price for a huge floor jack.

the 2 I have aren't that big honestly. the garage I have is 30x30 though so there's a little bit of space to work with.

I have found however that to jack the rear any jack i've had/have doesn't fit between the rear section of my exhaust lol kinda went the ghetto route of jacking up both sides then placing some block under the tires for extra support. also jack stands wherever you can find a place and still have work space in the back.

the Z is a pain to work on without a lift.

You gotta get the 2 ton long one. It's almost long enough to get the STUPID front jacking point. Although maybe you can if you have a stock front

Will a 3 ton be long enough? And Why do they have three different product numbers for the 3 ton from that link above?

You want the 2 ton because it's the longest and lowest.

I just drive one front tire of my stock height Z up onto a section of 2x12, and that is enough where I can get my low profile 3 ton jack to the front center jack point. The first couple of pumps are tight and will hit the chin spoiler if not careful, but it's the easiest method I've found.

**edit** This is the exact jack I have http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...FQ6MaQod9EQAAw I think I may have said in another thread that I use a 23" high lift jack, but that was a different jack that belonged to someone else.

I have the JEGS one from amazon, low profile etc ~ 200.00+ bucks. It fits to our front jacking point almost perfectly.

The HF low profile jack work from the front only with a low profile ramp. I jack the front about 4 - 5 notches high on my jack stands. To lift the rear, had to get to the pumpkin by driving the jack not from the rear but from the bottom center and started pumping from underneath.
