https://www.quickjack.com/

I plan to buy a set in December.
That's pretty neat, but the price is crazy considering you can get entry level full height 2 post lifts in that territory. A full on two post lift is, obviously, not for everyone... but this looks like a $500 item priced at $1400.

Obviously a post lift would be better, but lots of people either
1 - don't have the space
2 - can't install one

I fall under number 2 because I live in a condo complex with a private garage. I can do car work in the garage, but can't use anything permanent. I'd be getting the $999 option.

Yeah I am with you.. in fact, I am in an apartment with a private garage so a very similar situation...

Think the $999 option will be OK? I feel like it's cutting it kind of close with our cars but your Porsche is a good bit lighter. $999 is much more palatable but I hope to put in a full sized lift when I move into a larger space some day.

My brother-in-law has a two post lift in his garage that we used it to install my TT kit and now that is all I dream about when I am putting the car up on stands.

Gross weight for the Z is almost 4,000 if i remember right, so I wouldn't push it with the small lifts. There will likely be black Friday/holiday sales so I expect to get the 5K limit one around $1100-1200.

I too hope for the full size lift option.

More like 3,300-3,350lb, isn't it?

I've used the EZCarlift for years now, and find it tremendously useful.
EZ CAR LIFT - FREE-STANDING USE-ANYWHERE CAR LIFT! FAST. SAFE. STRONG.EASY.

Not cheap, and you need different cross-brace members for different cars (if you happen to be unlucky like me and have vehicles with different range of lift-point spacing). It is, however, pretty fail safe, good for 4,400 lbs, and USA made.

The Ranger Quick Jack came along after I bought my lift, or I may have gone that way instead. But not at all unhappy I have this.

If you are not lowered, you can probably back onto Rhino ramps without scraping the front in order to work on exhaust. I'd have to try it to see if you can drive forward onto them OK, though. But you can't do both at once. Also, if you want to change wheels, work on brakes or suspension, or lift the car higher, you still need to jack the car and put it onto something. Hard to jack the car and put it on stands unless you can hoist from a location other than the authorized lift points and then install the jack stands on those. Sorry I'm not familiar enough with the Z to know if there is a central rear hoist point or can jack the entire side up, for instance.

Use the rear diff as the jack point.

Default Rhino Ramps

I use a 2x10x21" , with each end tapered, to extend the ramp portion, one for each ramp. Works good. Front lip doesn't scrape. But I only change the oil and minor stuff. No real mechanic work.
Cheers
