Thanks FPenvy!

I still think they will roll the Q60 first... If there is a delay in the Q60 then there will be a delay in the Z. The infiniti G series was always the test bed for the Z. We havent even seen the Q series road testing so they are definitely a few years out. Atleast one year in advance we will see camo'd protorypes on the ring or on the roads. There has been nothing so far just rumors...

This^^

I have always said this myself, prior to launch it will be tested on the Ring. Until then, I rest my case.

Let me guess, the Q60 will have an engine, 4 wheels, maybe brakes, and a steering wheel!!

That would be epic. I read an article about it this morning, 1700hp, no biggie.

yes it's insane. although some people have said 1500hp some have also said 1800hp.

regardless it's a 1100bhp engine when running only 93 octane? wtf?! lol also it's a 5.0L V8 as well.

i'm waiting to see what happens when they release their cam-less engine. they have been developing fully electronic valves to do away with cams. I guess it saves weight, easier to tune, and they can be controlled to go faster and whatnot. haven't fully delved into all the info just yet.

FPenvy 03-05-2015 10:17 AM

Geneva Q60 info: same as what we already knew sadly.

"Power is provided by a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine with direct injection that delivers “exceptional performance”. According to recent reports, the production version of the sports coupe will receive a similar engine with 400 bhp (298 kW), while a hotter model with 450 bhp (336 kW) is also planned.

The Q60 is expected to join the market in late 2016, while the more powerful model will be released in 2017"

i'm hoping to get something extra from my friend who is there. sadly I know him and he will spend more time at the lambo section. most likely signing a check for the aventador SV as we speak. :bowrofl:

The new Z is going to have to be close to 500 HP or more to get me interested. Especially since the new 520+ HP Shelby GT350 is calling my came.

it's probably going to cost 55-60k for that and at the end of the day still a mustang.

a 400-450hp boosted Z doesn't interest you enough?

:shakes head:

Not compared to a flat plane crank V8 that revs to 8,200 RPM. Giggidy.

Meh, looks are subjective. I like it. But if either of the cars gets anywhere near $60K I'm just going to save up for a C7. Don't get me wrong, if the Z is less than $50K and pushing 480+ ponies, I'm in. Having factory snails will make it easy to get big HP via the aftermarket. :-)

so a Z having 400hp stock. breathers and a tune can easily be 500hp. look at the GT-R. breathers and tune I've seen yield 100-150whp in gains :yum:

Exactly my point. I'm going to have to spend money, void my warranty, and still end up with less HP than if I started out with a stock GT350. If I'm modding, I want more than 500 when I'm done. Just my $.02. But let's wait and see what they end up coming out with. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

ehhh i'll stick with the Z for less money. then you take the money saved, use for mods, and boom more HP than the ugly stang :tiphat:

According to reports, the new 2016 Nissan Z35 will have a hybrid powertrain that features a turbo charged 2.0 liter inline 4 engine. This powertrain will be able to produce 211 horsepower and 258 pounds per foot of twist. The hybrid model also has an electric motor. The other version that is available is the turbo charged three liter V6 engine that has plenty of power and it is able to churn out more than 400 horsepower. This engine will be coupled with a motor that is electric powered. The exact specifications for this model have not been announced so it is not possible to say precisely what specifications will be available in regard to the electric motors and their associated power outcomes.

The new Nissan Z35 2016 will be released at the end of 2015, most probably at the Tokyo Motor Show and it will be put into circulation in the year 2016. The projected price is expected to be lower than price of the 370Z.

Based on this, sounds like the earliest a new Z will debut is at least a 2017 MY.
