The money was just like any other loan the government issues, other than issuing it to a bank then to the corporation they skipped the bank and went straight to the corporation.
Also, Ford paid the loan bank well before they needed to, made more profit and is already with plenty of cash in the bank.

They are going to be the next two biggest market areas for the next 25 years probably. Ford is thinking ahead, unlike other auto manufactures and since Ford builds cars for the masses they are strategically placing themselves in the best markets.

Who gives a f*ck how they project themselves, it is called marketing. It is what sells or makes people feel warm inside, then guess what? It worked. I do not view any auto company as X country based, everyone is international and if they are not then they will fail soon.

Ever since Fords major outsourcing binge to China and Russia I just worry that these loose trannies are not the only thing we will be seeing soon from them. But truly low cost manufacturing in these places are bringing Cheap Pony cars to our shores. I'm all for disposable fast V8 pony car for masses. I just wouldnt drive one.

I tend to only buy tools and cars(& parts) made in any of those three countries Japan, Germany or US!

Who said anything about Ford being American made, especially the Mustang. I am saying that Ford is prepping for a new world market and guess what? So is everyone else, though at a much slower pace.

Are you mad that Nissan is building cars in the US or Russia or even Iran that once were made in Japan so they can save millions and use cheaper labor & parts? You want to talk about a bad transmission you may want to look at your own car before pointing a finger at Ford (Mustang).
