I truly think Nissan did an EXCELLENT job on the RIMS and those are a HUGE plus from my end. I have never appreciated a set of stock wells as the 19'' Nismo wheels. Only two years ago, the Nismo wheels that were available were fugly. If those wheels were on this Nismo rather than these wheels, i think it would have stopped many from buying the nismo.

Yeah I did change alot that day, i think it was on the lift for like 9 hours. But there are more mods to come lol. But yes I do love the rims, I'm going to powder coat mine but I still love them.

you say for cost.. not every one gets stuff at cost, and there are actually alot of AMUSE(be it real or clone) kits running around..

more nismo's also...real and fake too. Amuse looks better than the nismo but thats my opinion. Sounds like you prefer the nismo over it.

this thread/topic, is retarded. No one is going to convince me that buying a nismo Z is a bad decision, and likewise, no one is going to convince someone who doesn't like the nismo, that it's better.

At the end of the day, we all drive Z's and that's what matters.

Honestly, I don't like that plan. I prefer the nismo kit over the AMUZE. I prefer the nismo rims over many other rims out there. Don't get me wrong though, there are nice looking rims like the TE37 and a few others but the nismo rims just fits the nismo look so well that there is no point going aftermarket.

Agreed 100%, also aftermarket kits often have fitment issues and some fail to carry the lines of the car correctly. I've never owned a car thats stopped traffic in stock form, or any form for that matter. It happened again yesterday, this guy wouldn't go the green light until he could see the car. Granted I can't say he wouldn't have done it for a standard model but the nismo seems to turn alot of heads and gets alot of compliments. It just goes to show that others like to look at it as much as I do.

I love the Nismo front end! Just outstanding. The Nismo wheels are terrific too. Not such a fan of the spoiler and rear bumper. I haven't driven a Nismo but the suspension sounds like it rides like my 99 Camaro SS with the SLP Autocross Suspension-choppy and stiff-I've been there and done that. But the real problem for me was that the extra money for the Nismo was a deal breaker.

I'm wondering if the Nismo's power advantage is at the very top of the power band so it doesn't show up unless you take it to redline in every gear.

No regrets in buying the Nismo. In fact I wouldn't have even bought a 370z if they didn't offer the Nismo package. I don't care if it was more expensive than a base/sport.. my $ and I'll do what I please! I always wondered why so many people question us for buying this model, yet nobody seems to care when other members buy 6-7k bbk just for looks, or can still live at home yet they are out buying 4k Volk wheels... but hey, I just carry on and mind my own business.

I agree, if you want a Nismo and can afford it I say have at it. If you try to figure out how and why someone spends their money you'll go nuts. All we are really seeing here is that each owners' purchase reflects their priorities and resources at the time they purchased their Z.

I myself am looking to buy a nismo z. Its either buying the nismo or a DIFFERENT car. I pesonally dont like the fangs on the base/sport models. The nismos front bumper, wheels, wing etc etc is perfect. Its looks sexy to me. I dont think i would do anything bodykit wise to the car when i get my nismo, its THAT nice to me. Same goes for wheels. Alot of people question why im getting a nismo over a base/sport though like you mentioned above :P

Like I said a few posts up a few months ago, at the end of the day, drive what you like and we're all driving and enjoying Zs and that's what matters, regardless of trim level.

PS--I agree that the Nismo wheels are some of the best OEM offerings i've ever seen (on any car), but I said I'd never change them out and well...

The Nismo's 18 extra horsepower is noticeable throughout the rev-range . . .

What originally drew me to the Nismo was the way it looked. I expected the impression of pure sex to translate to the driving experience, but it didn't really. From the driver's seat, it came across as more crude and brutal in its operation. Difficult to drive for the first time, but left me wanting to work at it and learn to master this machine.

I don't think about normal Coupes w/ 18 inch wheels or Roadsters w/ leather seats when 370z's enter my head.
I think about the one I want:370z NISMO.

I originally had a PW 370 touring sports loaded ordered, but it was cancelled last March when Japan had the terrible disasters. Well, my dealer couldn't find a similar Z anywhere in the US, so I had to settle for my MB Nismo and seriously besides the color I have absolutely NO regrets. My Nis gets more looks and it's nice driving something that you don't see everywhere.
