Default Dead on the side of the road

Good morning, boys and girls. I've got a '16 370Z NISMO that has several times had a brief electrical issue. While driving, I would lose all interior electrical power -
instrumentation, AC blower, radio, everything would power off for a couple of seconds. The engine didn't stop running, and after a second everything powered back up. It didnt come back to normal though, several of the warning lights would be on (brake, traction control off, airbag indicator, and such). If I turned the car off and restarted it, everything is back to normal. This has happened three times since I bought the car new in October.

So yesterday afternoon it happened again, exactly the same way - brief power outage, restored by stop/start of the car. I stopped for dinner, and when I came back out, the car is completely dead - it won't unlock, start, or anything the indicator light is on to step on the brake to start the car, but there's no response at all to any attempt to start it. I'm here now waiting for the tow truck to take it to the dealer.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Scott

Check the long-term storage jumper.

Take a video when it happens so you can show to dealer.

Get an OBD scanner. Next time it happens, plug the scanner in and see if any DTCs show up.

I totally concur with SouthArk370Z. Let the dealer have it, a piece of your mind and the car. Make sure they give you a loaner while your Z is in the shop. Tell 'em you don't want the Z back till it's completely fixed and safe to drive.

Found it - Extended storage fuse switch....

The car is there, and I am here. I will speak to the Service Advisor to see if he needs advice. (I'm sure they welcome it.)

Oops. Sorry about the wrong name. Glad to see that you figured it out.

The ESFS is just a wild guess. Could be a LOT of things. ESFS is easy to check.

Good luck with that.

You seem to be pretty Intertubes-proficient. See if you can find a TSB for your problem. I had problems with the hatch opening. After dealer futzed around with the latch mechanism with no success I found out (on this site) that there was a TSB (replace button springs on side of hatch). Printed out TSB from web and took to dealer.
