No need to be a smart ***. I was simply stating that we are having much more then a "one time" wet seat belt.

I took mine to the dealer yesterday, they just called and said they can't duplicate it in the car wash. They are however going to replace the driver Recaro seat because the leather is peeling away from the underlying material.

It is not a few minutes of water pressure that causes the wet seat belt, it's a pool of water that gathers during a constant sustained rain, that slowly leaks into the compartment. Print out the picture from post 36, take it to the dealer and ask for them to replace those 2 panels and the brackets that hold them on.

...and I was 'simply stating' that there can be more than one reason for a wet seatbelt, in case someone else sees this thread, having done what I did. Or do you have the monopoly on reasons for a wet seatbelt? I think not.

If I were to descend to your level, I'd too could personalise things with the question, "Now who's the smart arse?", but instead I think I'll advise you to be a bit more considerate before you criticise any future well-meaning posts. Your condescending criticism was totally unwarranted and wide of the mark, "FYI".

Truce, or do you want a bit more pathetic keyboard warrioring?

Yes, there may be more than one reason for a wet seat belt, but not a wet seat belt every time it rains. We have all been here looking for a resolution to this constant wet seat belt. We have all heard the "was your seat belt outside of the car when it rained". I never once criticized you. You wrote that "should you seek my permission to post", and that is when I stated you didn't need to be an arse.

It's at the dealership because the seat belts are wet.

They have ordered parts. When I get the list I will post the part numbers for future reference. It seems to be a 2016 issue.

Has the solution for the wet seat belt been confirmed (reinforcing the top window panel and replacing panel and clips). I want to print this out and show the dealership so they have an idea of how to fix the window leak.

I took my 2016 base model 370z into Courtesy Nissan yesterday to look into this problem (driver side seat belt was wet after it rained).

They ended up ordering new weather stripping for both the driver and passenger side doors as they said it was "coming apart".

I took the 370z back today and they installed the new weather stripping and charged Nissan $300. According to the sheet they printed, they install parts:

76921-1EA0A
76922-1EA0A

Those don't appear to be the parts that others are indicating were replaced on their Z's, so if it gets wet again after another rain, I'll go back and take the picture from this thread.

Congrats on getting new body welts ... but I doubt that is the problem. Mine are torn to hell and have never leaked in over 90K miles.
