Default Aloha from Hawaii

Hi everyone and everybod z. Not new the the nissan scene but pretty new to the 370z. Last car was G coupe brembo edition, sold her and bought the 370z this past monday. Honestly I dont really want to do many modifications to my Z, I think they are almost perfect the way they are. Originally I was looking for a used 350z for my Fiance, I was never a fan of the 350z to be honest, after searching the island, I finally broke down and went to a stealership just to browse around, and instantaneously fell in love with the 370z. I mean wow. I did buy a base model, $34k out the door, considering that we have to pay an extra $2k here in Hawaii for any vehicle i thought it was a great deal. So my 2010 370z left Nissan with a total of 37 miles on it to my house. It was raining extremely hard when I went to test drive, and it was awesome!! I did make the salesman clench his but cheeks, I could hear him praying under his breath as I zipped around the highway. ( highway speed limit is 55MPH -major bummer-) Well thats pretty much it, oh I did change the factory deck to a pioneer Z120BT and it is awesome, the base models do not need a dash kit for double din receivers, they fit nice and snug with the factory brackets and dash. i will post pics someday just waiting for this rain to clear up so I can get some good shots. I would like to upgrade the stock brakes I really like those Brembos on my old G35, oh main reason for getting a new car was the fact that the G was well old and had a 100K miles thanks and a Big Aloha from Hawaii

Welcome to the Forum. The extra $2K sucks, here you could it get the base w/sport pkg for that price.

But you got what you want. Let the mods begin since in Hawaii is Summer all yr around.

Thanks everyone, I got the Color Brilliant Silver, for some reason I think the lighter colors make the 370z look wider, and more stout, I believe it's because you can see more contour of the body lines IMHO

day time night time
since 14 days of owning the car, put 515 miles on it, installed Pioneer Z120BT front and rear splash guards - 2 hour project- , and Real True DRL Leds 3 hour project. Will post some pics of the LED's and splash guards soon

note- Nissan was on back order for splash guards, when they sold me the car they charged me an additional $220 for them and there was none on the Z, yes I was P/O but they ordered them and they came in pretty quick. Unfortunately they told me I would have to wait a week for them to install these, once again I was upset. And considering this is winter time here in Hawaii I really needed these splash guards installed. It rains a lot here in Hawaii during the winter especially on the mountainside. So this past weekend I installed them by the book fairly easy just have to take off the rear wheels to drill the correct size holes for screws

Last edited by 370zHawaii; 11-08-2010 at 02:31 AM. Reason: splash guards, not really for the rain here on mountainside, but when the roads are wet the rocks fly up,

Some Pics of the LED's pre and post install, what I did was wire directly to a source that would turn them on automatically to make them true daytime running lights, the source I used was the second fuse box behind the battery and spliced the wire to the ignition fuse, so they automatically turn on and off, I like it better this way, oh and to take a picture of these LED's was a real PAI with an iphone they are so bright, I had to use flas to capture them in some of the pics to see them clearly. The pics without flash are BLINDING BRIGHT
