Default Yo!

What's up everybody! Figured this is the forum to be on, since the 370z is tops on my list of future auto purchases. Looking forward to joining in on the discussions, reading the reviews, and laying some rubber in Nissan's latest iteration of the Z!

Thanks guys for the welcome! My current ride is an '01 Audi S4 sedan, 6MT. It's the ride for getting me to the ski slopes, so it's pretty messy. Great at alititude though with the TT! My first car I ever bought was an '86 300zx non turbo 5MT... wasn't particularly fast, but I loved sitting low to the ground in those deep bucket seats and blasting to and from college in it. Looking forward to returning to the Nissan fold.

That's great to hear. Hmmm so you're a good skier? I try to learn snowboarding last year and ended injuring my right shoulder . Driving a Z really doesn't help carrying the stuff either. Anyway, got any pics of the car?

You should def drive the new Z when it comes to your local dealer. You'll be amazed.

Snowboarder, actually. I picked it up back in H.S. and have been riding off and on for about 6 seasons total. Love it. Skiing's next, never done it, figure it's the next big thrill. Not including the new Z of course.

One of these days (most likely after winter, the Front Range of the Rockies is pretty nasty weather-wise from October until April) I'll get the S4 cleaned up and post some pics. A test drive is definitely on the menu.

Awesome... I need snowboarding lessons . BTW, a member here "filthwagen" is a serious snowboarder as well. He was talking about magnetic coating or polishing where it keeps the board smooth as you make sharp turn or something. You gotta ask him for that. Our closest mountain is blue mountain (3 hours away) We will have a official snowboarding thread before I go this year

I was a snowboarding instructor for 3 seasons when I was younger. Picked it up in the 8th grade after my parents moved us to the Poconos from NYC. We had a ski resort like 5 minutes from my high school.

Very cool! Our hill wasn't QUITE that close, but it was still only 16 miles up the road from downtown. My buddies and I used to pile in a couple of cars and head up in the morning, ride until about 4:30-5, take an hour off for dinner, and then ride until the mountain closed (night skiing is awesome). It was funny, because the girls that skied with us could kick our *** on the slopes back then, and they never let us hear the end of it! Those were good days.

I miss it... I miss hitting the terrain park and the half-pipe @ night!! I've been trying to convince my fiance to take a trip up to Park City, Utah or some place, but that is easier said than done!!

I'm not much of a park and pipe guy myself, though I love watching the crazy riders hit the 'X-Games' level kickers and rails ... I progressed to 'all mountain' last year, finally comfortable on moguls, in trees/glades, and black diamonds. I can get a little bit of air if I think it through all the way, but I'm definitely not spontaneous when it comes to leaving the ground. My ideal day on the slopes starts with the lift off the base, a quick green to make sure my boots and bindings are dialled in, and then over to the side of the mountain with the blues, blue/blacks, and black runs. Can't wait to get out there again! The drive up in my S4 is fun too, since the main resort my family goes to includes a pass over 11K' and the base at 9K'... nice to have the twin turbo working for you then!
