I know you'll do whatever you want, and I understand they do things differently where you are, but I would strongly advise calling the local Police Dept. to get things figured out.

I bought mine from Texas but as this was my second purchase i bought it from nissan dealership as mine was a trade-in car, but they sent me the invoice and then i wire the money to them and then they sent me bill of sale and other papers

rest was easy getting a shipper picking then car and ship it to dubai

Did you ask him to send you the copy of bill of sale even if it was in his name?

I will say the same first check the Bill of sale from your friend, stolen or not stolen is after that. You need to be sure there are a sale in the first place

I just looked at an updated CarFax report on this VIN# for you.

ON 8/18/10 the car was offered up for sale at Gwinnett Place Nissan in Duluth, Georgia. It has 8,823 miles on the odometer as of the 18th of this month.

It looks like the car wasn't stolen after all. I fear you may have been scammed.

Ahmed, when you gave your payment to the guy that was buying your car, did you also include money to cover any other charges like shipping?

If you were scammed it would probably only be worthwhile for these guys to do it if you paid extra fees on top of the value of the car... that way they could take your money, buy the car, sell it, and pocket whatever extra cash they had left (basically their profit would be the export/shipping fees, finder's fee, and any other charges they might add on to the top of the price of the car itself).

Not really sure what else you can do right now to try and get your money back. Hopefully someone here with some more insight can chime in with some help, but it might be a good idea to try and get in contact with some local lawyers and see if they can advise you.

i just spoke with him yesterday, he told me that he will try to collect the money. i think he will sell it for higher price and and get me my same money back!

or even he might not return any cent!

I agree with docaam... check to see what a local lawyer could do for you. I'm sure they have dealt with international fraud cases and know the best course of action for you to take.

I think check with lawyers even in bahrain, usually they do have branches worldwide.

And dont let that guy know, that you know he sold the car, as you might be right, he will make some profit and then will send you money as he has taken a loan. So in the end he made a profit along with sympathy from your side.

Honestly, I wouldn't wait that long. At the very least get into e-mail contact with a lawyer and see if they are able to offer you a bit of advice, just do you can plan ahead.

If legal action is necessary the longer you wait the least likely it is that you'll be able to get your money back.

And I would still demand to see copies of the sale paperwork from the Alabama dealership where the guy originally bought the car.
