We're BACK!!!
Many updates (as usual) as the forum was down, so finally nice that it's back up ![]() Let me update the Z diary then.... Over the winter I was lucky to find a set of mint 350z anniversary wheels that I can now use for a dedicated track set. I then went ahead and bought a set of Advan Neova AD09 wheels for track. I put on as wide wheels as I could on these stock wheels, so I'm running 245-45-18 front and 275-40-18 rear. That's basically stock width except the size isn't 19" but 18". The tyres look kinda fat but I think it's fine. I also changed the suspension setup on the car to be more on the grip side. Front and rear camber set to 2°40'. Front toe in 2' and rear toe in 10'. I wanted to have high speed stability as I have very good turn in with the whiteline swaybars so I figured this setup should work. And yes, it works very well. ![]() ![]() I have tested the new suspension and tyre setup on the Pannonia Ring in Hungary this weekend and I gotta say the tyres are amazing. Officially not a semislick, but it's a 200 treadwear tyre and the pattern is definitely semi like. A friend had a brand new Cup 2's on his M2 and our corner speeds were same, or I went faster (likely due to better suspension setup), which kinda tells me that these tyres really are good, especially considering the price. I am very very happy with them. After 250km on the track without sparing them, the next day I saw I still have the rubber hairs between the treads ![]() ![]() Next day I had a long drive home (cca 350km) and even in heavy rain, the tyres held very well, even in speeds up to 160km/h - no problems whatsoever. I was carefully trying out their grip as I heard semislicks usually aquaplane much easier than normal tyres and their wet grip isn't as good - so I'm pretty happy that it wasn't that bad.
