It'll be even nicer when the bloody things get here. On a slow boat from Japan it seems. :excited:

Chicago thread is quiet. Anybody got exciting winter plans, whether with your cars or personally?

I'm going skiing in Colorado at the end of February. :)

Nice ZMan!

I wasn't thrilled about the RC 370z mini clone I built so I'm building another.

Training for 1/2 marathon. been a while since I could run after being hurt

Starting to teach winter cycling classes next week.

Hoping to finish up on my mod list for the Z
-get my spoiler painted and install
-let my coil overs settle and set final ride height
-install my rear fog light
-install my RJM clutch pedal

No vacations till spring. I might not do my usually California trip to ride my bike in the Mountains. I have a big name Pro triathlete coming in this summer and I'm going to be working with his coach to help them map out training rides while he's here. So I'm concentrating on that!

Although, I still want to try and get up into the mountains for some training so I may change my mind and pick up and go some weekend.

Running :happydance: have fun and good luck. Are you doing the Chicago spring half?

 on the mod list. Interested to see feedback on the rjm pedal.

That sounds awesome to go biking in CA. One of the greatest states to live in (or visit for us midwestern folk) if your an outdoors person. Has something for everyone. Sounds like you have a busy winter/spring.

I'm doing the First Midwest Bank spring 1/2 in Palos Heights.

The RJM is a long time coming! It's been in the box sitting in my garage FOREVER!

I just flew through Chi town this past week to visit my family again in Champaign. I did actually see 1 370z in Champaign near a bank, a gun metal if I could see correctly from driving by. I didn't expect much as it was winter and Champaign is heavy college or farm town. Anyhow, was cool!

I only once or twice will see a 370z in the winter, so you got lucky.

So i'm sitting here wondering why my "sitting" situation has not improved.

Bride seat ordered, and should be here within 3 weeks. But i've been waiting on a Feb-ish deadline since Nov.

I should be in, going to have to give a tentative right now till I see how my summer work schedule is and when the races I'm doing fall.

Well the transmission on my beater took a dump on me and buying tires is cheaper than fixing a car that will probably break again before winter is over, so it's time to consolidate the car collection. The Z is going to see it's first winter this year, getting new shoes tomorrow.

Was planning to go with my buddy's brother who has a built Z32. CJ motorsports should hopefully show up with their newly built 370z as well. Oh well. I'm sure it'll be fun!

Anybody interested in ZdayZ? It's May 14-17th. Fontana village is booked but there are places nearby that have availability and are 5-15 minutes away from all the activities. Plus we can get on the waiting list at fontana.

I would prefer to do the drive down there Wednesday the 13th, and drive back Sunday the 17th.

b15 01-08-2015 05:39 PM

It's very tempting. Especially as the Z turns 5 years old in 2 months.

b15 01-20-2015 06:33 AM

I think I'm going older with my next car instead of newer. Always wanted to build/restore an old car.

Ever worked on a car with sh*tty bolts? I'd rather work on new stuff any day. Stuck bolts are the death of a good workflow.
