congrats on selling them, but why u waiting for fall?:icon18:

It is going to be an awesome season though, many of us have done extensive mods over the winter.

Need to start thinking about a season opener at twin peaks?

Ni55anPat 02-02-2014 01:13 PM

haha woops! Sorry on a few hours of sleep.

I haven't done much mods because i just bought a house…..but maybe i'll sneak in some aerojacket CF duckbill or aerojacket fenders…..We shall see

I saw you bought a turbo kit? congrats, that will be fun.

I did, thanks. cant wait to get it installed and tuned.:driving:

other mods ive done over this winter

fuji rear cf diffuser
led interior lights
door handles painted body color
manifold cover painted the silver body color
led rear fog light.

I know cesar is doing quite a few mods to his, Meulen is doing quite a bit to his 40th, and Sean has some cool things coming to his as well.

and if the gtm boys get their TT kits(long shot) we are going to have a lot of high HP Z's runnning around chicago this year!

as for you, again congrats on the house, cant wait to see what you replace them with as it has to be something really cool to let go of those grams!

nothing will beat the grams, ever! :( i'm really sad to let them go, but its been 2-3 years of ownership….it's time to change it up….if they were wider, i would keep them forever but its time to go super crazy aggressive!

Ni55anPat 02-02-2014 03:06 PM

& damn you are not messing around this year haha

Thats awesome! What are the estimated hp/tq numbers? Do you plan to have it installed by the beginning of the season?

Glad to see you're sticking with the Z. I thought you were, for sure, trading for a vette.

500hp 440ish torque? yes I plan to be ready for begining of spring.

It was very tempting to buy a vette, Stasek had a c6 grandsport brand new for 49 with 3k in instant cash, and i have a gm card and have 3k in gm dollars. could have got a 60k car for 43. but i pulled the cover off the z, and shes just beautiful. so now she has the power to go with the beauty ;)

b15 02-02-2014 07:03 PM

Good choice! Glad you're staying in the Z crowd. Definitely want a ride when it's tuned.

ZMan8 02-06-2014 01:39 PM

Many of you have been busy this winter can't wait to see all of the new mods  :excited:

I only got a gtr start button lol :ugh2: but I did buy a house so I get a pass right :p

February means spring is coming, I assume end of march - begining of April we can have a season opener. Jim suggested twin peaks, I think that works.

I just popped it out using panel removal tools. It takes a little force but it was pretty simple

Jim, thanks. Did you find it when placing the unit back in it laid flush and tight? I'm concerned about this as it would appear there is some type of adhesive holding the unit in place?

jlo370z 02-07-2014 11:10 AM

It's flush, picture in my build thread. Looks good

Thinking about getting a vanity plate, just not sure what to put on it. How many Chicago guys have vanity plates?

I do. I'm also thinking of changing it. I have Route 66 plates. More than likely going to stick with it, but change up my lettering.

That's the best method. No need to take apart the center console

Looks like my steering lock failed in my garage. My car is aired out completely. No idea how to get this fixed now :(

tow truck to dealer. that should be covered along with the work

Ni55anPat 02-13-2014 08:40 AM

Tow truck? My car is laying on the ground lol

b15 02-13-2014 08:56 AM

jump the compressor straight to the battery

Ni55anPat 02-13-2014 09:17 AM

hmmm never heard of that

b15 02-13-2014 10:18 AM

Theoretically it should work right? You just need to fill the bags with air to lift the car. So if you get the compressor to turn on via an external power source, it should then fill the bags?

Ni55anPat 02-13-2014 10:55 AM

true but my car still won't start :p

I found the part # on ebay brand new for $350.........i'll just have to bite the bullet & install it myself.
