Just my thoughts on the earlier posts, If you are going FI in these cars at all you will need some great suspension work and some wide tires because traction will be a serious issue... Im talking 315 or wider rear tires....

^This. Tony from fast intentions said that dialing in the suspension, wheel and tire setup is more important than anything with this car when it comes to forced induction. That's where you'll see it really come alive.

Immature kids and ricers out in full force tonight for the Paul Walker memorial cruise. Saw there was a 350z with fast and furious stickers that crashed. Theres also a bunch of idiots posting pictures doing 100mph on facebook. What a cluster. Glad my Z is home and safe, not that I'd join anyways.

Yep I heard the same thing, it's tough to make a meet with several thousands cars and have everyone behave though.

I took advantage of the Z1 Black Friday free upgrade and went with a 25 row Seatrab, thermostatic kit.

That was a good deal

and I think it's a good choice size wise.

Agreed! I have the 25 row... and figured that any more than 25 would be counter-productive to street-driven vehicles. Case in point, i have blocked mine off for winter driving.

P.S. Happy Friday the 13th... ooooOOOOoooo

Yeah good choice. I honestly think even 19 would be ok for street driving/autoX/limited track use.

I got the 25 and thermostatic plate. Figured that would be good for anything I do with the car. I only drive it in the summer anyway, but I don't think you'd have to block it off if it's thermostatic.

If temps dip below 40 when you drive, then you may have to fab a block off plate. Otherwise, it will take a while for the oil temps to warm up to a safe temperature. During summer you shouldn't have issues.

It shouldn't even go through the cooler unless it gets hot enough first. What am I missing here?

The thermostat plate doesn't block flow completely. It closes about 80% so oil cooler is still cooling the oil.

I'm ready for summer. Normally I can put up with this crap until January, but not this year. If only the wife would agree to relocate :(

I am considering it. The only problem is the main part of the resort where the cabins are is booked up with a waiting list that's long as well. I'm not sure about the lodge.

If we could get 4-8 people from Chicago dedicated, then we could plan something officially.

Oh, booked already? I think my buddy my come along as well, he's always wanted to drive the tail. Looks like there's a Marriott Courtyard about 27miles away in Knoxville TN. I may just book a room and use some Marriott points if the resort is full.

I haven't booked anything, but have thought a lot about it.
