Pat just doesn't like lips .... :stirthepot: :wtf2:

haha. Some lips are too gaudy but I think the Evo-R adds a nice subtle flair to the bottom sides of the front bumper. I might just get the three piece plastic one. $189 isn't bad at all.

I'm still undecided....evo-r vs ings+1 . I like the look of ings+1 but it has this weird area where it seems to not flow with the bumper.

Ni55anPat 03-26-2013 07:19 PM

the INGS is pretty nice, i dig it actually.

ZMan8 03-27-2013 09:32 AM

Lol the z store is selling the evor front lip for 250 for carbon fiber or 175 for full Frp. 22$ shipping.

I've bought few things from them so far, all good experiences.

Ni55anPat 03-27-2013 09:45 AM

That's a good price. I wonder if they carry them in stock

weather is warming up boys!

Just landed in Chicago and am pleasantly surprised. Quite the change from when I left on Monday. I may even take the Z for a spin When I get home. Wife isn't going to be home till late anyhow.

It was amazing when I went out for lunch. Unfortunately for the Z and my driving spirits there is salt everywhere in the NW suburbs. :shakes head: why do they feel the need to salt all the time.

b15 03-28-2013 04:48 PM

Did you guys get snow Monday? We got barely anything and the rain from the week before washed most of it away.

The Dimer 03-28-2013 04:50 PM

I think it's okay in the SW suburbs. I may take the Z to work tomorrow. I'll still probably wash it when I get home, though.

Nope nothing, absolutely 0. :shakes head: but of course they salted before that.

I saw that they are predicting close to 60 next weekend when we have the april 6th meet  and 50's or 60's for the season opener on April 14th. :woot:

Ni55anPat 03-28-2013 05:04 PM

beautiful day, looks even better this weekend (mostly tomorrow).

Spring decided to start waking up! :rofl2:

Jsolo 03-28-2013 07:06 PM

Summer tires just got installed this afternoon. Need a good rain to wash the salts off the road. Probably do the spring detailing in a few weeks.

It is supposed to be in the mid 50's today here in the Western Burbs. Oh yea, that's what I am talking about. Will be washing the Z and detailing the Z today. I may wait until Saturday, may top 60, until the rain comes later in the day though.

Weather looking good for the upcoming meets. Looking good!!

Today I will be receiving a little package from FedEx. I ordered a JDM Rear Fog with Harness and the GT-R Dome Lights from Z1 Motorsports. Will be installing them today. Hopefully the Rear Fog is not that much of a PITA. I hear Nissan used a enormous amount of Loctite back there.

tiger123 03-29-2013 11:32 AM

Redline Oil

ZMan, I see you use Redline Oil. I just did my oil change the other day and used Nissan Ester Oil.

Would like to hear you comments regarding both Redline and Nissan Oil and why you choose one over the other.

Also, what type of filter do you use?

My friend swears by Amsoil Oil and says it is the best of all of them. He says it is so good, you can actually list it as a Mod.........JK, lol.

I used Nissan ester for first 4 changes and redline for last year. Nissan ester is group IV and redline is groupV so it's technically a better oil . I have noticed cooler temps when pushing the car.(5-10 degrees cooler with redline) also from many reviews on this forum redline lasts longer.

So I highly recommend it. Amsoil is probably comparable but I haven't really heard much or read reviews on here.

I use puralator filters but one size bigger than recommend .

How often do you change your oil?

Did the rear fog on mine last year. It was not the most fun I've had installing a part, I can tell you that.

There are two nuts if I remember correctly. We got one off without a hitch, but the second one was so stuck that instead of turning or stripping the nut, it turned the bolt on the inside of the plug and torn right through the plastic housing. Had to end up cutting the nut and I only use one to hold the light in place.

GT-R button is a must. Just did mine a week ago and its an easy install. Way better looking than stock. Looks more like a metallic red. Looks sweet when the light hits it and in the dark its definitely not as annoying as that stock orange light up one. Anyone still going to that meet in Chicago on April 14th?

Any local MT owners running the lighter clutch assist spring? I'm thinking of buying it. OEM is so numb.
