I see nicer weather on the horizon. Hoping to do the day trip sometime this month.

I'd like to keep the group small. Route total comes in at about 550 miles round trip.

Requirements: Be fueled (both you and car) and ready to go. I'd like to be on the road by 7am.

For those attending, the route is available in garmin's gdb or gpx format. West of rockford, reception is spotty. Verizon/att should have some coverage (at least voice). Data may be limited.

Stops are about every 1 1/2 - 2 hours, give or take. From past trips, fewer stops in the beginning, more stops as the day progresses. There will be lots of curves and corners. If your passenger gets carsick, they may want to sit this one out.

ditto.....put my car in storage while I'm putting floors in the first floor of my house and training for this little Ironman thing. Time is a precious commodity.

Agree, between work/travel, baby/family time and building out my basement, there aren't enough hours in the day. I've been going for early morning drives couple times a month, I find sunrise drives quite relaxing and a great way to start my day but its definitely not for everyone. Plus I'm not ready to give up the fun car quite yet haha.

Did a galena run this past sunday. Posted it on several fb groups about 2 weeks prior. Surprisingly, out of the 12 or 13 that tagged they were coming, only one person actually showed up.

It was a bit cool out but turned out well. We hit practically no traffic on all the fun backroads.

This weekend Midwest Z's is meeting up at macys (woodfeild) @ 5 then cursing down to Mid West Modded.
Meet is 5 bucks per CAR not person.

Midwest Z's have a section for Z's only if you want to come out Saturday. currently 14 z's for sure going.

I'm very happy with the overall setup! Might want to ease back the throttle response a little bit (it's adjustable too). Makes slow starts difficult.

Nice. Do you have the bluetooth connector/app so you can change settings on your phone?

Naw, i adjust traction control thru the OilTemp hijack.

Cruise control and Oil temp gauge still work great!

Oh, and the bluetooth dongle is $350 *cough
