I thought I would get used to it, but I've put about 1000miles on the Z so far and I'm still jerky into 1st and 2nd sometimes and look like a fool. Other times everything is smooth. I feel like everytime I don't drive the car for awhile I need to "relearn" the clutch.

Got one a while back, definitely felt an improvement. I'm actually taking it out this weekend though, gonna install my RJM clutch pedal.

I heard changing the whole assembly is the way to go for the best setup

Upcoming Meet

As of today, the weather for this Saturday is calling for a high of 58F, but a 40% chance of rain.

When will this be called either way?

I'm almost positive the Midwest Z meet is rain or shine. Personally I'm hoping for rain because I need the salt roads cleaned.

For this Sat, if it's raining it means I will not be organizing any premeet or official 370z roll in.

As an FYI, usually I cancel and reschedule "our" meets if it rains.

What he said. All Zs should be 6MT :driving: haha. I did remove the OEM spring all together and it felt great minus the play in the clutch when its up. Should be getting the lighter spring this week and that should eliminate the play. Can't wait!

Looks like I may not be able to attend the meet on the 14th either. I think the wife aready had plans made, I'll have to see. Are you guys planning on going to Supercar Saturdays in May?

I will be, and will organize a premeet as well so we can park in a group.

I will definitely try. I am a golf nut as well. My job fortunately allows me to play on Weekdays, however with my friends, it's Saturday/Sundays.

Gonna try and make it tomorrow. Next weekend I'm going to be in the St Louis, so I don't think I'll be able to make it back in time.

I'm thinking about purchasing the GT-R Start Button. Are you really happy with it? Does the entire button light up red?

So the 14 have confirmed to the Willow Springs event? If you do not attend, I would assume there will be no pre-meet?

Im most likely not attending. I need to be downtwon at 1 pm tomorrow.

I would say there can still be a premeet as long as everyone still goes to it. Good thing is the premeet is relatively close to the forest preserve.

Where are the pics? Wish I could've made it out but was in the city all weekend.

The Dimer 04-08-2013 09:44 AM

I was just immobilized from my friend's birthday party on Friday night. I did manage to get my RJM clutch pedal installed, though.

And let me tell you, the rumors are true. This thing makes a world of difference. Right now I just have it set at the defaults given in the instructions, but I may play around and fine tune it a bit.

I heard that too. hmm perhaps it's a mod I'll be doing.

The Dimer 04-08-2013 10:50 AM

The install was a bitch, in my opinion. It only took a couple hours, but working under the dash sucks. It's cramped, you have to contort yourself over the seat/kick panel, and I cut my hand up pretty good. Looking back, I probably should have just taken the seat out.

good to know. Do you plan to change anything else related to the clutch system like the slave cylinder, clutch line, clutch itself?

The Dimer 04-08-2013 12:50 PM

I plan on doing a braided clutch line at some point, but the rest will be on an as needed basis.
