I have to go with something that has been proven to work. Nothing against FI but their kit is way to new to know what the problems in future will be. Plus I'm getting everything from GTM. Clutch, flywheel, exhaust, gages etc.. my guess it's going to cost around 30k for everything.

30K!!!!

ZKraken22 03-22-2013 02:51 PM

30k is not bad. But for 30K i would want my car to be in the 10's

I just snatched up a pair of new toys today (sorry spring Z mod budget)

Got a Springfield XDs 45 for CC and a 9mm Sig p226 tacops and effectively doubled my firearms collection lol

Had to tell someone cuz I'm stoked! Now to find some 9mm ammo...

I have an XD .45. That thing can be a bitch to a conceal, but its a solid weapon. Have fun with it, .45 acp can be expensive, but the power when you fire it can NOT be mistaken.

It should be. If a stock engine at 540hp can do 11.27 the 700+hp should hit 10's with no problem.

ZKraken22 03-22-2013 03:52 PM

you should be the first z into the ten's i hope you learned from your last Z!! b ready for some headaches! have you talked to a shop yet for install?

April 6th I will be talking with Chad a MKC. Trust me I know all about the headaches that come with FI. At the same time with me buying all my parts from GTM I know that I have a ton of experience behind this build. With STS it was very limited since STS really didn't have any 370 experience. Hell I was the second Z in the world and the first AT7 370z to have a STS turbo installed. I have a good feeling about this build that the problems will be minimal compared to the STS kit. Plus MKC is a UpRev licensed tuner, which helps out a ton.

tower74 03-22-2013 04:40 PM

Hey if you guys haven't seen it yet but GTM has started a group buy for their new turbo system. Hell if they get 51+ people, whoever is buying it will be almost stealing it from them. I think it said $5595 with 51+ people.

So my guess would with everything, including install and gauges, would be around $7500-$8000.

edub370 03-22-2013 04:50 PM

install on those tt kits is gonna be $2500-3000 alone. hard for me to tackle an install with my current facilities

Close but no lol.... I think you'd dig this car, deff not something u see everyday. Its 1 of only 1800 made with a certain option that makes it even more rare.

Jasonle 03-23-2013 10:10 AM

Well what is it?

Jasonle 03-23-2013 12:48 PM

what you get!

Z06WHO 03-23-2013 12:56 PM

2009 Pontiac G8 GXP 6-speed manual..... I didn't think id ever find one so I stopped looking for one and yesterday cable damer Chevy got one in and I knew I had to get it. Would never consider one unless it was a manual and from my understanding less then half GXP's are manual. So I get the power of a corvette with 4 doors. So don't I get like a star sticker now for being a growen up lol

sboden 03-23-2013 10:57 PM

Yes...very hard to find a GXP...congrats...lots you can do with that car...goes up against the M5 imo

Yes I agree and a lot of others to, for how big this thing is I handles like a car half its size. I've already had 3 people pull up next to me and ask me what the hell is it as it has a full header back exhaust and sounds godly and nobody expects that sound from a 4 door car. When I got the exhaust off the Z we had to go drop it back off at the dealership and I wanted to see what the Z would do against me. We did a 60 roll in 3rd gear and I left the Z like I was standing still. I know the stock exhaust didn't help it much but I thought the Z would hold up better to a almost 4k pound car/ land yacht lol

sboden 03-24-2013 10:19 AM

It actually doesn't surprise me. The GXP is powerful. It was and is a car GM needs to find a way back into the stable. They are making a police version of it but that is all I know of for the moment. Your going to have to change your name to GXPWHO.

O ya don't get me wrong the GXP deff has some power and it might of been the gearing of the Z that killed it. You'd just think 500-600lbs difference would help the Z more but that torque from the 6.2L is what helped the GXP.

Z06WHO 03-24-2013 11:52 AM

If anyone local wants a deal lmk but heres my updated add for my exhaust

Nah its an XD-S, the single stack that they released last year and it's only 1" thick on a 3.3 barrel length.
I have a xdm 45 already, and yeah it's thick so the plan is the single stack to conceal in lighter clothing for spring/summer but I do have a holster that buries the xdm under cargo shorts or jeans if you can believe that... girlfriend can't even tell until I pull it out to lock in the car-safe lol.

3 Speed Holster

kind of like a "super-tuck"

I've been meaning to go with a super tuck, but that looks viable. Thanks for the link.

Take a look at what I started this weekend finally...Man it was nerve racking! :eekdance:

aCoul82 03-25-2013 01:57 PM

In case anybody was wondering about the steering lock recall, I actually got notification in the mail today stating Nissan will replace the part (ESCL) + labor free of charge with my VIN number on a card. Not sure if you have to have this card to get the recall work for free.

Haha I like this. Tho I did my wire tuck and admittedly know way to much about stereo's. But would need to read up before I did led's

I have opened headlights before, it's not fun project at all. All about what you use to seal back up. I'm still too pussy to open my new ones.
