NICE! There have been a lot of Groupon deals popping up for Cancun recently. Did you grab one of those?

Nope has this one planned for awhile. New resort that opening in November and they were offering pre-opening specials back in June.

Nice. Haha, I wish I could plan far enough in advance to take advantage of such things. My clients at work keep me on the unknown constantly.

Side note: I know everyone is planning Saturday morning, which I can make, but is anyone opposed to shooting for Saturday evening and grabbing some drinks somewhere after?

edub370 01-22-2015 09:49 AM

I'm down for whatever, Its looking like sat morning is out for me anyways so that could work. either sat afternoon, or sunday morning would work better.

who else?

edub370 01-22-2015 09:50 AM

project_zed 01-22-2015 04:49 PM

Oh and anyone know a good shop around here that can get a test pipe installed for a good price? Really don't have time to do it myself.

ghotnit 01-22-2015 09:44 PM

I'm cool with whatever whenever. The drive I did last week is about 3 hours of serious driving. So if anyone is interested.............

edub370 01-23-2015 08:09 AM

where do we plan on meeting? and where's the route exactly?

edub370 01-23-2015 09:31 AM

Unsure, Ghotnit, where does this route take us?

ghotnit 01-23-2015 12:24 PM

The route ends up in St Joe with a mix of technical and high speed roads. I usually start in Tracy. Take 371 to Hwy H (a nice technical road) to Weston. Down the Hwy 59 to 116/HH through Rushville and DeKalb. Then Hwy JJ and around back to 116. Then rejoin 371 through Farley or Faucet (I think that’s the name) to Hwy A then rejoin Hwy H through Agency and Gower. Then Hwy VV to some other roads to Stewartville. A quick blast down Hwy 36 to Hwy 31 past Clarksdale to Hwy Z and V to Hwy O through Cosby and then Hwy C, M and T to Amazonia then I think it’s Hwy K to St. Joe. There are some nice parkways in St Joe but not high speed. This time of year is great with no combines, traffic or wildlife to worry about. St Joe has E85 for those who need it like me.

project_zed 01-23-2015 02:07 PM

Good god. How the hell did you write that down. Lol

tower74 01-23-2015 02:12 PM

MS Word is your friend with ctrl C and ctrl V. I do some survey work for KCPL and I drive these roads every month but at night and I really enjoy them during daylight. I can actually see.

Man, really sorry to hear that. You still owe me a drive. I hate ID-10-T errors.

Why me? For a full size...go to my profile and look under the GTR Photo Album (very first one)

project_zed 01-23-2015 03:21 PM

Man..I'm so sorry

tower74 01-23-2015 03:30 PM

I went from raging mad, to what do you do in about 10 seconds. I can only imagine what this will cost.

dang man...i'd guess around 1500...you can get wet carbon doors for around 1800 and dry carbon for around 4k

project_zed 01-23-2015 05:39 PM

so besides the tragic news (sorry man)..

Should we meet around Blue Ridge Rd off 470 and head out that way? Anyone know of any barbecue places or something good we can munch on before or after the cruise? It would be awesome for everyone to get to know each other more and we can continue these sporadic cruises.

Maybe for a Z. GTR carbon doors go for as much as $14k. Most things for the GTR are 2x the price. Plus they will have to disassemble the driver side to fix the rear panel. I will not allow this to be patched. New or total it. Not only will this kill the resale but they will need to repaint the whole car to match. My guess is 10k+

edub370 01-23-2015 06:36 PM

so Blue Ridge and 470 at 2:30. Is there a business or something around there that would be better to meet up? Or An Address?

and lloyd, that completely sucks about your car. I'm sorry man

On the bright side. I needed a new paint job.

project_zed 01-23-2015 08:44 PM

My friend has a tobacco/phone shop with a really big lot. We can collect there before we head out. Its right off the exit across the Sonic, called Cell Deal.

I bailed got a call saying the cops were headed our way and approaching fast.

edub370 01-25-2015 11:01 AM

Yep, They Passed me

project_zed 01-25-2015 04:56 PM

Lol no way. Well I have a radar as a precaution. We never saw them. Me and Glenn did our route. It was amazing. Never knew missouri had it like that

ghotnit 01-25-2015 07:33 PM

Yeah we never saw any cops. I wondered what happened. Everyone started peeling off and it was just Owais (Zod) and I. Maybe next time. There are some great roads up there.

Yeah I bailed as well. read the whole route thing and realized I don't know the roads, the area, and it seemed like everyone might be driving quite "spiritedly." I don't speed on public roads. One ticket going 135 in a 55 when I was 17 was enough for me. Now I take it to the track and autox when I want to drive fast :)

On another note: if anyone wants to get together for drinks and car talk one of these days I'm definitely down. just no speeding for me

We didn't drive crazy and we were always safe. I don't do crazy on public roads either.
