Default Summit Point Sept 11 (FATT)

Sup all. Im taking my Z and RX7 to Summit for a Friday at the Track (FATT) and wanted to see if any of you were up for it. My friend is taking his GTR so it should be alot of fun. If any of you havn't done this, you owe it to yourself to try. Its more fun then you'll ever have in your Z!!

I've been there but it was years and years ago.....well before I could drive! I've always wanted to go back...I'll have to put this on the calendar of possible events. Sounds like fun!

Wonder if it would even be worth going without an oil cooler.

You guys shouldn't believe all the hype. I've already done it and I don't have an oil cooler or braided brake lines. Your not goin out to try and beat a land speed record, just to have some fun, lol...If you want to sign up, try and do it soon as it sells out quick.

I have a hard time taking it easy on a track, but do you have a link for this thing? I'm sure I can find it, but it might help for others who stumble across this thread.

Thanks for posting this, I knew of FATT, but had never done the homework as far as researching into it or going with my previous car. Unfortunately, I already have plans for Sept 11th. However, I am definately interesting in doing a Friday at the Track. How quickly do these sell out?

How open are these places to total track noobs? I've never tracked a car, and would have no idea what the proper routine/rules are and what not. Would it be wise to take some sort of class before attempting a track day?

It sounds like they are pretty accustomed to noobs (taken from the Summit Point website):

Lunch is available at both of our track cafes (cash only!) and OG Racing is open during events if you need supplies for your car.

If your a noob, then FATT is for you!! You get a professional race car instructor that teaches you how to corner, when to decel, when to smash it, etc....After your second 20min session, he usually turns you loose by yourself (if you want). You get 4 20min sessions in one FATT event.

That's 16 five minute sessions for those without an oil cooler.
