Not doing the 2nd day for football reasons. We can do it the following Saturday or try to schedule it while we're there on the first day.

eastwest2300 08-10-2012 11:06 PM

Hell, why wait until september 15th, we could do it the end of august..

Out of fairness I think we should do the cars of the people coming from furthest away. It would not be fair to make them come all the way back a 2nd day. Dee we can do yours too since you're hosting.

I have so much Bromance for you right now it isnt even funny.

August 25th would be the only possibility for me. I feel like I'm supposed to do something that day, but I can't think of it right now. :icon17:

No one is saying that it can't be done. We're just trying to be realistic about the amount of time it will take. One thing I've learned about working on your own car is, especially if you're doing something for the first time, it will take about 2 or 3 times as long as you think it will. Something will go wrong or you will forget to do/bring something or something will be a lot harder than you thought it was going to be. You have to plan for this ahead of time. You don't want to have 7 people stuck at your house with their cars taken apart and they can't leave because if it. I understand that you're excited about this but you don't want to be rushing through it to try and get everyone finished in time. That's were you will make a mistake and someone's headlight might get ruined.

b1adesofcha0s 08-11-2012 12:45 PM

Also, I can't do the 25th because I have this family thing I have to go to. If you want time do this on your own whenever you get a day off, then go ahead. You'd be able to help us all out more if you did this.

I can't do anything in August. Please don't do it then. I have a family thing followed by a work retreat I can't get out of.

eastwest2300 08-11-2012 03:01 PM

No, we're not changing the date.. dont worry about that, its just the whole idea of this process breaking it up into a day event.

dmhenderson 08-11-2012 05:42 PM

Yeah I'm fine with a 2 day thing and will commit to both but I can't promise I'll bring food to both. *Flat out guarantee I'll have alcohol on me regardless.

eastwest2300 08-11-2012 06:38 PM

hahaha.. dude, food and alcohol we wont sweat that, we're on mission to get this job done and do it right.

Check out Tony's (2theextreme) car. He has the same thing but with the housing blacked out. He's local in VA, but he had his professionally done.

Everything done to Tony's car has been professionally done... lol:icon17: Thats why its uber badass.

Won best in (import) class at a show today. Beat an Elise, an Exige and a bunch of shitty British cars. Dropped the car off at home and went out to celebrate - not entirely coherent at this point.

All right fellas, lets not forget we're still doing this mod next month, it'll most likely be a 2 day event.

Sales@AAMComp 08-14-2012 08:19 AM

still need to verify who's cars will get worked on for the 15th? Again, I still encourage everyone to come out to make it more fun and everyone gets a little hands on experience!

I hope I can be on the list for the 15th since 1 trip is 4 hours round trip for me and my buddy. Also that is the only Saturday I am free for til the october between car shows and being on call for work.

Speaking of shows is anyone going to H2O? I know its for VW's and Audi's but its a great time to cruise and hangout.

I can come both days for sure regardless of when my car gets done. I plan on getting there at 8:30am on the 15th.

dmhenderson 08-14-2012 09:15 AM

Also if we're going to run into Sunday the 16th, there needs to be some mechanism for watching gameday/football.
