And I'm getting the paint.

Who was the one who wanted to do theirs in blue? Whoever it is will have to get their own blue paint to match the monterey blue color.

dmhenderson 08-17-2012 02:16 PM

I can borrow my girlfriend's hair dryer no problem. Just add that to the main list too so I can make a list before I head up.

Also if no one wants to man up and buy sealant, just give me a link to where the particular kind we need is sold (and how much we need) and I'll man up.

eastwest2300 08-17-2012 03:21 PM

I think blades said he was gonna buy the rubber sealant..trollololol

You apparently know more about sealants than I do. I really don't know anything about them so I'd have to let someone else decide which to get.

eastwest2300 08-17-2012 03:36 PM

ahhh well, we're still a month away so we'll figure it out Im sure!

Took my bumper off today! Took 10 minutes with no prior knowledge. I took it off to do some bumper modding. Took off the grill and plastidipped. The bumper is not finished. I still have to find away to attach the mesh to it. Mesh is already dipped though! let me know your thoughts!

eastwest2300 08-18-2012 09:26 PM

I like it dude, good job... so being that you've pulled this bumper off, we can knock them out together, once we do this mod.

Lol well....I just used snips to cut through them. It won't cut all the way down so there are still little nubbins everywhere from where it was held on but I'm going to sand them down at some point.

Yeah that seems to be the plan.

How's this for the sealant? Not sure how much we would need or what color to get.

dmhenderson 08-22-2012 11:04 AM

Yeah I'm still down. Not sure what color we'd need either. My car is black but I dunno if that means I need black sealant.

The OEM sealant should be black, so I would go with black.

dmhenderson 08-22-2012 03:00 PM

Should we all buy our own then?

b1adesofcha0s 08-22-2012 03:02 PM

I have no idea how much we will need, but we should probably figure that out first. No point in buying 5 of them if we only need like 2.

I would buy more than enough, then not enough, keep the receipt and whatever you dont use, you can return. From all the sealant tubes i've seen, you'll need a caulking gun to apply it.

Masa 08-22-2012 04:40 PM

So, I had a brilliant idea. After you guys finish modding we can head over to Looney's Pub right next to campus and look at the slutty waitresses serve us wings and beer.

There's this one waitress, Jessica who is absurdly stacked...

That doesn't work so well when you buy it online. Then you have to pay for return shipping, which might cost almost as much as the item itself. Anyone have a caulking gun or used on before?
