Oh I get it! Because people are flaky!.........:inoutroflpuke:

I'm pretty excited. Barbara and I will definitely be there.

Voice59 10-24-2013 05:13 AM

Robin can't make it this time. Both of her EMT shifts are Saturday from 6 to 6 and Sunday the same hours.

Ryguy 10-24-2013 09:07 AM

Damn that sucks. Is she still in the navy? If so then good on her for working so hard

Yeah, she's still in. She's getting some experience under her belt so she can go medical officer.

Well, you know the location so yeah, meet us there!

Unfortunately I still have to get the pipes from you by 11:30 because I have to go to the oceanfront to pick up the girly and come back. You still have directions to my place that I texted you awhile back? If not I'll send it to you again.

Is there a reason I can't just give you the pipes when we head out for the cruise??

and no, I don't keep up with this thread much haha. I'm a busy guy

Running4Mayor 10-24-2013 03:46 PM

Just got the car out the shop today. So I'll be there... We test drove 2 other Zs and it did the same thing so I guess the sounds are normal...

That could be doable. I really don't want them rolling around in the trunk and don't have a way to secure them. Unless you have an idea....

I would wrap them up in a towel and put them on the shelf behind either the driver or passenger seat. They shouldn't go anywhere. Or even on the floor under the passenger seat.

Ryguy 10-24-2013 05:24 PM

Damn John problem solving isn't your strong suit....

Tigger 10-24-2013 06:11 PM

my problem solving skills are just fine, thank you. ;)

and no, the other ideas won't work. I'll also have a passenger and I refuse to have them in the trunk. I sent you a text. If that doesn't work for you then we can do it another day. We already had a plan! Lol

I just don't want to drive to your place, go home, then drive back out to VA beach to meet up with you again. It's a lot of unecessary driving.

....and yeah, we had a plan until I found out about this "cruise". That changed things haha.

Well. I guess keep them for now or see if anyone else wants to buy them. I won't have any time to meet up with you again for some time after.

Darketch 10-25-2013 09:04 AM

Fellas, sorry I'm stuck in Spain so I won't get home until Saturday afternoon. I won't make it this time.

Ryguy 10-25-2013 09:08 AM

That doesn't sounds like a bad deal. Where in Spain? If it's Palma then I'm pretty jealous.

Tigger 10-25-2013 09:58 AM

Spain is not a bad place to be stuck. I agree.

Meet at Starbucks on independence just south of 264 (Investors Place according to Google maps) @ 1PM. Don't be late. That goes for me too.

I will figure out an appropriate route to take prior to departure but it will not be posted for various reasons.

I can not guarantee a return time but plan for an hour in Elizabeth city for food, drinks or both. Should be back by 5. I know we are all busy.

For the new additions, I'm John and I drive the base gunmetal Z with a Stillen rear plate frame.

Anyhow, nice to see we'll have a nice, sizeable group going. But please bear in mind, this will draw attention. Not only that but it makes it easier to play follow the leader. I will not tolerate any kind of reckless driving at any time. We all go safely, quickly in some cases, yes, but safely. And we all come back!!!! On some of these backroads with blind curves can get a little crazy if you've never navigated them before. Do not try to keep up through them if you aren't comfortable. And by no means should anyone be tailing anyone through them.

That's my safety brief. If you show up you agree to the terms.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to Saturday! See yall there!

Is that the same one we were at after Jenro's that one night?

DstyrbdZ 10-25-2013 09:03 PM

It's the one

next to Golden Corral on Independence. Right down the street from Trashmore, and before Baxter Rd if coming from Holland Rd. I plan on being at Starbucks at 1:00pm, with my copilot if she can make it. Red 370. Name is Chip. I just want to check out everyone else's rides and mods if any.

Ryguy 10-25-2013 09:11 PM

Me and my fiancé will be there probably early, I have minimal stuff done. But Kai has the most stuff done that I know of.

Rota

Ryguy 10-26-2013 08:33 AM

That's not bad either but being stuck somewhere when you want to be home I'm sure still sucks. Hope you have a safe trip home.

Onelownismo 10-26-2013 09:47 AM

Is this still on? I hope so!

Voice59 10-26-2013 04:26 PM

Great turn out! Definitely glad more people showed up. People were cool and the venue was definitely a good time. I know I didn't plan it, but I'm definitely pleased at the way it turned out.

Ryguy 10-26-2013 04:40 PM

I agree. Good choice john

Darketch 10-26-2013 06:25 PM

Sorry I missed it. Caught a break and flew in from Rota this morning. I'd been gone a month so I couldn't leave the family....even for the 4 hour event. I wanted to drive my Z so I convinced the wife we needed some items for dinner so I go to the store and bump into Tigger. He was like "so...outta town huh?"

Like an episode of Seinfeld!

lmao.. It's all good man. I think we're gonna work something to where we do that the end of every month.

DstyrbdZ 10-26-2013 06:55 PM

Good to meet some of you...

but, me and my copilot got into a heated discussion unrelated to this drive, and I decided it was in the best interest to turn around and head back. All is good though, we parked it in the hanger, and straightened things out and spent a great afternoon together on our own.

Some very nice rides guys, glad you all had a safe and fun time. Hopefully I can join you all again at some point.

Ryguy 10-26-2013 10:02 PM

It was nice meeting you too. Hope all is well and as voice59 said we are thinking of making this a monthly thing so there will be other times.

Tigger 10-27-2013 02:06 PM

Thanks to all for meeting up and making the drive. It was nice to see some more people become engaged with fellow members in this area. And thanks to all for navigating this trip safely, albeit, quickly. Sure was fun and my girly had a blast.

I'm with Voice on the once a month deal. I'll plan another event here for sometime just before or after Thanksgiving weekend. And because of the holidays coming up, if everyone could, send me a pm with preferred dates/times for making another run. This also goes for people that haven't met up with us yet. I will try to get everyone to a happy medium and we'll go from there.

Darketch... next time. Family first. The 370Z family, that is. Because we are your family :driving: :icon17:

Onelownismo 10-27-2013 04:45 PM

Had fun, was awesome meeting you guys.

I'm disappointed with the video I took, but I may extract some photos from it of each of you. My friends pictures will be up in a day or so I imagine. I'll let you guys know here he puts them.

Ryguy 10-27-2013 04:47 PM

Sweet!

Next run I'll break out my GoPro so we can get more video and to act as a backup cam. Keeping mine in the car though.

Ryguy 10-27-2013 06:55 PM

That's lame! Why don't you put that s**t on your bumper looking back at everyone since you lead most of the time.

Myke 10-27-2013 10:34 PM

New to the Area

I'm doing some training in Fort Lee in near Colonial Heights, and will be here until February. In need of some cruising pals, or info on meet ups or car clubs in the area. :driving:

Onelownismo 10-28-2013 09:21 AM

I have no idea where Colonial heights is, but you're more than welcome to join us next time we meet up.

Well, if you don't mind driving 2 hours just to get to the starting point then why not?!

I have a GoPro mount attached to the bottom of my rear bumper.
Right under the "rear fog light".
I have some awesome video of Hellbender when I was at ZDayZ 2013.
Unfortunately being that close to the exhaust and going WOT over heated my GoPro.
It didn't record my Tail of the Dragon run.:shakes head:
I wish I could up load that video to show you guys.
My bandwidth is non-existant and will be until I get home. :crying:
