240se 10-03-2015 06:59 AM

Can anyone recommend a local paintless dent repair place? I got my first door ding on the Z and I managed to polish out the scratch but there is still a small dimple.

Voice59 10-08-2015 08:00 PM

I don't know of any place off the top of my head. Sorry man. On another note.....is everyone still on for Saturday?

bkngo 10-11-2015 11:45 AM

Yeah, I thought we were suppose to get a text or something Tim ;) You owe Kai and I a beer :P

clutch issue

looking for mechanic in the tidewater area that could do clutch work

Onelownismo 10-13-2015 09:01 AM

Sup guys? It's been awhile so I thought I'd stop in and see how everyone is doing. I haven't done much of anything with my car for what seems like months now. I actually just drove her to work today for the first time in awhile. Still have my wheels for sale if anyone is looking, I dropped my price a lot since I first put them up. Might also take out my headunit and speakers then sell them soon.

240se 10-15-2015 01:28 PM

Chris from Dent Dr just worked on my door ding and it is completely gone. Awesome, I definitely recommend.

Darketch 10-16-2015 07:33 AM

Mike welcome back. Nice to see you around. So if you haven't been driving your Z, guess that means no racing?

Where is Dent Dr located incase I ever have to use them?

All that I have done is a track down in North Carolina that was pretty fun. It's called NCCAR. Next year I should get back into racing. Money was tight this year.

What wheels are you using now?

Dent Doctor - Yorktown, VA - Dent Removal, Automobile Body Repairing and Painting, Auto Repair and Service - Home

It's a mobile service so you just call him to make an appointment and he will come to you. He has 10+ years of experience and charged me $75 to remove my door ding.

My dent was a dimple about the size of a penny and it is completely gone now. Being on the drivers door of a dark car it was very noticeable.

What's a good place for clear bra installation in our area?

Got mine done and they give a military discount.

UltraShield of Hampton Roads
929 Ventures Way
Suite 103
Chesapeake, VA 23320
757-819-7159

Fascia, half hood, mirrors, fenders for 680 if I remember correctly. Has a 7 year warranty for yellow, crack, fade. Kit they use is self healing.

A few door down is Profeesional Rim Shop. They also do great work on rims, paint, alignments, and other things. Onelownismo turned me on to them.

Both UltraShield and Pro Rims are the only vendors I trust my car with....so far.

bkngo 10-17-2015 07:06 PM

Autocrossing was EPIC! It was free and I got about five runs in today.

Cool, I thought you would get more runs. Glad you had a good time. Maybe next spring or summer we can get some Zs together for an autocross.

Damn, I didn't think it'd be that expensive. Appreciate the info. I'll stop by and see what they quote me for what I'm looking for.

Darketch 10-18-2015 09:39 PM

I did all my negotiations over the phone, then just rolled right in. You can also have them do a custom job if u want the whole hood or whatever. If I had to do it again, I would do full hood, lights and rear fascia.

Voice59 10-18-2015 10:13 PM

Rear fascia? Why? And yeah I'm thinking front fascia and whole hood.

I have the SSR's mounted on my car, but I also got RPF1's chilling in the garage ready to go on when the SSR's sell. I would love a set of OEM sport wheels though.

I've been to both businesses and can verify the quality of work and people there are top notch!

If you think autocrossing is fun you should try getting on a track with me

Instead of 5 ~45 second runs you will get 4 20 minute runs. :P

Hmm I guess. Makes sense. Probably shows up worse on light colored cars. I haven't noticed it at all on mine.

Darketch 10-21-2015 07:36 AM

Did on my PG Z....extra careful in my White Z!

That's too funny lol.

Darketch 10-22-2015 09:43 PM

When I had 2 Z's I felt both powerful and poor! Just a few days of having both on my insurance bit me lol.

Seriously, at times I feel like my Z has enough power to keep me happy for a while and other times I feel the need to go FI or get a V8.

Yesterday I was being a good driver on a two lane road the merges into a single lane. I put on my blinker to get in to single lane early and the a-hol in the other lane blocked me. I dropped the Z into gear and "moved" ahead of all of them. Times like that again makes me feel like I have plenty of power in my Z. Don't know if he blocked me because he was a **** or if the Z pissed him off somehow.

Ever happen to you?

Voice59 10-22-2015 11:00 PM

I'm rarely a good driver. I don't remember the last time I went the speed limit in the Z.

Onelownismo 10-24-2015 07:59 AM

Yeah whenever I drive my truck I tend to drive like an old man. However when I get in my Z something comes over me and I start driving like an *******. I Just can't help it. lol.

Voice59 10-24-2015 11:07 PM

That's the Z life.

Onelownismo 10-25-2015 01:02 PM

Almost sold my wheels today. A guy in a G37S came over from newport news stopped by to test fit them and they were way too aggressive for his car haha.

bkngo 10-26-2015 05:39 PM

Really liking the new exhaust man. Definitely sounds different inside the car. I'm waiting on one of y'all to rev it for me, so I can hear it from the outside.

bkngo 10-27-2015 07:03 PM

I just got a new go pro and a suction cup mount. I will probably make an exhaust video :)

Voice59 10-27-2015 08:21 PM

Nice

bkngo 10-28-2015 07:08 PM

hopefully I can make a vid this weekend since it is rainy... on a positive note my grass is really green :)

Voice59 10-28-2015 08:37 PM

Somebody needs to make an accurate sounding video. I'm loving mine right now. I think you're gonna need high end sound equipment to capture the sound. Hopefully you can do it.

Awesome Sauce lol!

On another note I still have these RHFCs sitting in my garage. Anyone want to take them off my hands for a great price that I would only give to you guys? If not I'm going to put them up for sale on the 370z for sale page on facebook.
