Well I thought most people were down now it's like everyone backed out if I do go I'll probably go later

Voice59 10-16-2016 01:26 PM

I stopped by for a second. It's probably the most cars trucks and bikes I've seen in one spot. It's literally the entire parking lot for the sportsplex. Plus food music and stuff like that. Pretty cool.

Ended up returning my NAVTOOL V3 unit and buying a used V2 unit from a forum member... the rear camera system works great now. I might install my front camera but I think I might save that input for a mirror cast unit instead... i might wire it to where i can switch between mirror cast and front camera... we will see.

bkngo 12-12-2016 07:44 PM

All set... ran my front camera and hooked it up to the NAVTOOL V2. V2 uses ground and V3 uses alt 12v to switch between video inputs. My next project will either be RJM clutch pedal or blind spot monitor system...

:iagree: I'm constantly gone and every one else is busy. The whole forum in general is going down hill.

How long was your install and whats the difficulty on a 1-5 scale?

Agreed. Its had its time. LoL. Let it enjoy it's days in the pasture until it's too feeble to walk and lays down alone in a cave somewhere... Or...OR..we can tell it to look at the flowers and put one between the ears... LOL

The forum may die but the pleasure I have when driving my car won't.

Which HFCs are you running? Do the have the extended O2 sensor bungs? I did get your text and responded but I'm in Japan right now and texts to the US aren't that reliable for some reason.

Thanks, and unless they came with the stillen HFcs then no extendors.

I knew the air to fuel ratio was off months ago when i first got the hfc, intake and exhuast installed (on the same day)

Cuz i could smell gas when starting it up... i had thr shop recheck the exhuast to make sure no leaks... figured it was halfway normal since driving behind test pipes smells horrible

Kazzan11236 01-20-2017 09:34 AM

I know i need a tune but thats weeks away, if even. But i am gonna stop by autozone latta see if they can tell me what code

Kazzan11236 01-21-2017 05:00 PM

So error code P0420

Description says the Bank 1 Catalyst system efficiency was below threshold for a predetermined period of time.

it took about 8-10 hours (i took several breaks)... i can probably do it quicker since I was learning as i go... I ran front and rear cameras... i rate it a 3... you got to know how to use a multimeter, run wires (from the engine to the unit), and be comfortable with drilling into your front bumper...

bkngo 02-05-2017 07:14 PM

It is time for me to get new tires. I hate when I floor it between 1st to 3rd gear and my car is sliding sideways (backend pulls right) on the road. I wanted to pick up some Michelin Super Sports since they are on sale on TireRack for $1060 shipped (245/275), but I'm worried about the weather here. My other option is BFGoodrich GE-Force Comp-2 AS for $820 (great reviews and my brother has them on his Z and swears by it).

If I get the BFGoodrich I can pick up sway bars or the RJM pedals. What should I do?

bkngo 02-05-2017 07:22 PM

Or Pilot Sport A/S 3+ for $944

Kazzan11236 02-06-2017 08:06 AM

You know my answer.. bridgestone pole position

VABAM 02-06-2017 09:57 AM

This is what I prefer;
Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08R tires for the warmer months and track days.
Continential ExtremeContact DWS tires for the colder months.
:twocents:

If I was DD'n my Z, I would run different summer tires.

Aiolos 02-06-2017 11:56 AM

Im shopping tires too, 265/35/19 front, 305/30/19 rear

Looking at the michelin pilot super sports? continental extreme dw on sale now at tire rack?

StealthZ 02-06-2017 11:59 AM

MPSS are Ana maxing all around tire. Great grip and wet weather traction. In my experience one of the best do it all type tires. Isn't a master of any, as dry weather grip toyo and nitto tires are better, but don't last long and have bad wet/cold weather grip.
MPSS will last a good amount of time too as long as you aren't smoking the rear tires a lot.

Darketch 02-06-2017 08:14 PM

I bought these last year looking for a tire that was something besides the summer tires I had in the past. Also hoping for a bit more all season grip and longer wear. Probably not the "hottest" tire around (RE-11s), but I have no complaints.

245/40ZR-19 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S SL
285/35ZR-19 BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S XL

bkngo 02-10-2017 10:11 PM

My brother has the COMP-2 and he said it was better than his Potenza tires... I think I might do that... man, I need to change my radiator, power steering, brake, rear diff fluids... radiator should be easy... got to youtube the rest lol...

bkngo 02-10-2017 10:18 PM

BTW, if anyone needs help with custom headlights let me know... I just finished another set of headlights... http://www.the370z.com/members/bkngo...ilver-halo.jpg

bkngo 02-10-2017 10:23 PM

I've been thinking about adding RGB demon eyes, retrofitting 2.5" STI-R lens (turn signal), and dual switchback halos... but first I have to finish my friend's 2015 F-350 retrofitted dual projectors, dual halos, and two-tone paint job... :)
