What's funny is if he did this with a 1985 Firebird people would just think he's a redneck. :icon17:

looks good Cody, why don't you make a styrofoam mold around it??

hell no, fiberglass will look extremely sharp though. |

I've never heard it done THAT way.
Damn, I just thought of it, it just came out of my mind in flash and I have no idea how to make it work........lol
Haha I do want to make a mold for it eventually. I just like this way now because I have double sided Velcro on a case for the tablet and I can easily remove it when I want to take it inside.
Also Im pretty sure if I go fiberglass Ill get my boy Paul aka Italy to do it. |
yeah man, fiberglass is the way to do it.
If someone wanted to make a bunch of money, they could find a way to replace that glove box cover with a detachable (non-velcro) mount for tablets that looks like it really fits the car.
Hoses, spacers and hood damper kit are going on this weekend.
Ok D, make a mold out of styrofoam is easier to make it fits well first, you can use the heat gun to gently melt the foam the way you want without any sanding dust like the fiberglass bondo. If it were me, I'd make the styrofoam first then put fiberglass onto the the foam mold for a better look or even carbon fiber
dude, its pretty complicated. cody needs to get with someone that specializes in fiberglass molds. thats what I would do, Im definitely not a specialist on it.
