Plus I heard they dont like radar detectors? (not that they do anything anyway)...

Radar detectors are illegal in VA and will get you one big fat fine if you are caught with one.

It's actually a relatively low fine, less than $50 last I heard.

It's $100 for radar, plus your speeding ticket, plus whatever else the cop decides to write you for. So the average Z will get written for illegal exhaust, lowering springs, two broken tail lights, and assaulting a police officer.

And I heard a while back that some lawmakers were trying to make radar detectors illegal... that failed. Then some other lawmakers wanted to make a radar ticket, even if you were only speeding under 15 over, reckless.
