It was a killer save. It would have looked nice on video.

Of course I would have preferred it didn't happen in the first place. A combination of luck and skill got us back on the road without a scratch.

b1adesofcha0s 05-21-2012 08:39 AM

I'm sure it would have :icon17:

So what happened that caused you to go offroading in the first place?

It truly was amazing.

Almost as amazing as the fact that you decided to immediately follow it up by TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO GIVE A HIGH FIVE

Damn! Sorry I missed the fun! Looks like you could have been on a trailer and everyone would be making fun of the guy in "a Mustang on a trailer." ;-)

In all seriousness it really wasn't all that funny. We are just lucky that it worked out that there was literally just enough runoff for me to save the car. I had to work pretty hard to do it. Glad we are fine and I've learned a valuable lesson for next year... take it a little easier on Hellbender. My suspicions over the years were correct that if any road here would be the one to bite, it'd be Hellbender.

I gotta agree bud. You can reach some dangerous speeds on Hellbender and come into one of those tight corners wayyy too hot. Happened to me a couple times and the ABS saved my ***.

Just glad that you, Dan and the car came out unscathed! :tiphat:

Yeah I know how it feels. On my last offroading incident I thought I had enough runoff to be able to save it and I almost did, but just barely hit the guard rail. Was worse because the grass was wet from the rain.

Glad you made it home safe!

:iagree: I missed a lot of the forum members. I did get to hang out with a handful of the guys, and met a lot of new friends along the way that aren't on here (Z33/32 owners).

A forum meetup would be awesome. ZDayZ 2013

Definitely. I mostly know 350Z & GT-R people. I need to meet more of the 370Z guys.
