The biggest difference is the event t shirt, primaries get a thsirt included with registration and guests do not. There are other subtle perks for being Primary verses Guest, but I need to solidify those up before posting them.

if you are registering by yourself, you are a primary. if you are registering a friend/significant other/troll/whale/unicorn/5.0, you add on a guest

I think guest is intended for if you are bringing your SO or something and they are not driving their own car. Since my gf and I are driving two cars down we will both be registered as primary.

Steve-o, you can register as a primary with a guest and register two vehicles.

I did that last year, even though I only had one.
