just wanted to share this and see if anybody else has experienced any issues lately. i'm certainly not trying to stir up any sh1t, i just want to make sure this hasn't happened to anybody else here.
i called up Fontana two days ago and paid my room in full. they charged the CC i had on file that i put my deposit on about 2-3 months ago. yesterday, i got an email from Amazon saying an account was opened w/ my CC number and a purchase was made (~$50). they believed it to be fraudulent and closed down the account and refunded my card immediately. thinking this was spam - i checked my CC statement online. sure enough, an Amazon charge was made for that amount. WTF. the only other charge on my account in the last month was to the370z.com to become a premium member - and that charge was made through paypal. before that, i had a $0 balance on the card for at least a month... has anybody else had any issues? if you've made a payment to them in the past couple of days via CC, you may want to check your statement just to make sure everything is ok. sorry for derailing everyone's excitement... just trying to get to the bottom of this. |
I just checked my statement (I paid off my Fontana balance a couple weeks ago) and don't see any unusual charges.
I do need to stop spending money, though. :bowrofl: |

Interesting... About a week after I called FVR to confirm my cabin #, I had to cancel my card due to fraudulent charges. Hopefully that's just a coincidence, because there were two other places I used my card that I thought it could have happened. Thanks for letting us know! |
Just found a fraudulent charge to both amazon and a site called yourcarworld.com that doesn't appear to actually be anything....
Just got a new card, literally only used it to pay the balance on my fvr reg and register for zdayz  |
This sucks, no charges on mine that don't belong though.
|
hmm... three fraudulent charges after FVR runs three different CC's doesn't seem like a coincidence to me...
luckily, i received a new CC in the mail today (lower int rate, higher limit for moar Z parts, etc etc). the previous card was turned off, so i'm in the clear now. perfect timing i guess  what do you guys think? should we approach FVR about this? |
I would let someone know. I'm going to check my statement tomorrow.

M4A1 and I are running the Audio Technica Pro24 CM. Not the best option out there as far a sound quality goes but far surpasses the mic on the GoPro. Plus at around 50-60 bucks you can afford to beat it up a little bit. Prob about as good as you can do at that price point. |

my go pro never worked right. I got a contour, its much easier to use and works great.
|
also lovin the contour... super simple to use - good results.
|
P.S if anyone has thought about a powdercoated strut bar but didnt wanna deal witht he shipping, Mike has a spare strut bar, pay the man to get what you want done and i can bring it up to Zdayz and swap it there.

Go Pro isn't hard to use, but the documentation just plain sucks for it.
I mean, how difficult is "Two Buttons: Power and Shutter"? Operating one is super easy. It's what you do when you hook it up to a PC that needs a complete re-do. Heck, for the money, the thing should come with video editing software. |
