$75--$85 ouch... I think I'll be doing my own oil change. Just wish it'd warm up one more time, and I had a day off.. that combination right there is

Not trying to spam the forum or anything, but go to Walmart, buy some Mobil1... Bring your car to me, and I'll change it for 7.95 plus tax (comes out to $12.35)... Don't know how much longer the coupon will be out there, but I would definitely take advantage of it...

I bought my Z from Rosenthal Nissan in Tysons Corner and have gotten all of my oil changes from them. They promised me a year of oil changes when I bought the car, but the guy still gives them to me for free almost a year and a half later. If they finally ever charge me I'll consider it back pay and finally find someplace else at that point.

chevy chase nissan had to reschedule my appt to today, David the service manager there said they would not charge me since I had my own oil + filter since they to to change the time.
I was happy with my experience there. He did say that it would be better to use a Nissan filter vs K&N next time since the Nissan one sites flush (?).

im guessing you or the nissan guy meant that the nissan filter sits flushly in the air box ie. its exactly the right size that theres no gaps around it so no particles can squeeze by. Just my guess.

correct.

I take it lots on ppl on here use k&N filters so I wont worry. I know AK's post on DIY oil change he has used that filter.

Amazon has the case of Redline 5w30 listed twice on their site. One listing is $119.40 and this link has it for $110.44. I ordered a case yesterday, plus it comes directly from Amazon so I got free shipping with my Amazon prime account. Note, it says a quart, but its a case of 12 quarts. On my account, it says 'Red Line 5W30 Synthetic Oil - 1 Quart, Pack of 12'. That's the best deal I could find on this oil after looking all over.

yep thats exactly what I've been doing. Brick and mortar stores don't seem to carry red line oil near me.

JRP on Dorsey road near BWI has it. I always go and hit them up for my Redline.
