ZCarMan 07-01-2010 05:28 PM

Scene one...cue VQ37 motor sound at 8000RPM, headlights on pavement. Begin Rod Serling voiceover: "Picture if you will, a twenty something young urbanite decides to take a late night drive on a warm May evening to join some friends in the mountains for a weekend of fun. Only hours before he was safe and warm in his family home back in the city. Now, hours later he is running low on fuel and beginning to notice the lack of oncoming vehicles as he drives deeper and deeper into the wilderness. His Navi is worthless, sending him to roads that are not passable forcing him to turn and backtrack his route, wasting time and gas. After turning onto a narrow winding two lane road in the middle of the mountains, lost and unaware of how much farther he must travel, the low fuel light illuminates his cockpit, he is sure that he can make it. Moments later with darkness surrounding and the trees looking more and more like creatures in the night his eyes open wide, the car stutters and begins to slow down. He shouts...."Shat", As he rolls to a stop he looks up ahead in to the blackness of the night and mutters to himself, "Well, at least I have my cell phone". Next stop...The Nismo Zone"

SHIROZE 07-01-2010 06:29 PM

Confirmed the 17th for 12ish arrival - they'll have some food a drink. They'll even invite some folks who are considering purchasing Z's to chat with you experts. Apparently, they are putting together a flyer that I'll post when I get it. I'll ask if they have limited space for us or what a maximum number would be.

C some of you soon!

Amar, you are legend now! Brian, awesome plan you've put together for the 17th, sounds like good times will be had by all and I'll be there. Steve, I will get details together and we'll make a crab eating day on one of the following weekends.

spitfire9200 07-02-2010 10:32 AM

ill be in virginia beach this weekend... next weekend!

SECKS Z 07-02-2010 01:25 PM

I was supposed to be in VA beach but we are going to be causing havoc locally instead. Soooo, I'll be there in the morning after my oil change (assuming I don't party too hard tonight and can wake up at the crack of dawn).

PS- I have some deets on an event on Wednesday in Manassas at the track out there... for free... from 5-9, racing... idk... I'll know more tomorrow.

ciao

Ah, Test & Tune @ Old Dominion. :D

TROOPER 07-02-2010 01:35 PM

So who's meeting tomorrow? LOL

So many posts I think I lost track HaHa.

Just an idea, but when I hosted a M&G up in Baltimore,
I updated the original post with a "confirmed" & "maybe" list.

So everyone had a good idea of the expected turnout.
Just a suggestion ;)

For me, as long as I know someone else will be there, I'd make the trip.

Altho not this weekend :p
