The cap for the brake reservoir need to be removed for the piston to move ease. Be sure to have rags or towel around the reservoir,

C-clamps have worked for me on every car I've changed pads on - but I haven't done a Z so YMMV.

Big mistake. Getting rid of the Z because it's impractical is one thing. Trading it for a 10 year old car with that many mods and miles doesn't seem like a good move.
