That actually provides support for the bumper, not to mention that it protects the underside of the car and weighs almost nothing. You want to leave that on.

104 here yesterday and my 2009 Z was nice and cool. Sounds like you may have a freon leak. If so, repair cost are dependent on the cause of the problem. I think the Z has a great AC.
