I bought a set myself last year and that same tab broke on mine during delivery too. And yes all it is is to secure your wires (push clip tie strap) so they're not dangling. Those things are a pain...

Think Torque not hp... Torque is what breaks parts... at 500whp you will be at ~400ftlbs...

My 2 cents: I think something that looks as OEM and minimalist as possible would be ideal. A bulge along the lines of the FT-HS, for example.
