1974Z I never got around too it but possibly will do in the future the next time I am home. I was going with a Zex kit for a 100 shot and 125 for the track. So if you end up doing it let me know so I can hear about your results.
Hi V8Killer i saw your posts in the nitrous? thread and saw your visitor messages was wondering if you ever got around to installing a nitrous kit i ask because i am interested in getting a kit aswell. if you did what shot and gains did you achieve?
Saves cost on the installation/removal labor... I can put that money in other places so it won't be a loss. I'll be fine since it's not a massive HP gainer, it's more for looks to me lol
Yeah man, it sucks when you get one part done then have to wait for the other one before you can install it. But I did mine the same way and had the headers and exhaust installed at the same time. I loved it! Yeah still waiting for the belt to come in, haven't even heard from them. However I'm looking into selling the pulleys because I've heard they won't work with an SC which is the route I'll probably go. So I'm just going to skip the install.
Well I would just get the Zex kit and that should run 1200 thats what mine cost for my 350Z when I had it... and if you use a 100shot and are tuned with full bolt-ons 400whp should be easily had.
Dont get discouraged by what people say about N2O if you do it right you have nothing to worry about.... also asfar as gains go if you do a 100shot set up you will see about 85-90whp increase and about a 125tq increas just FYI
If you get the full Zex kit and get the accessories you will spend 1200 and then to get the install done it shouldnt be more than 1k then maybe 500 for the dyno tune and 500 for the uprev software so you should be at a grand total of 3200.. and that is at the high end most places will give you a discount if you do all the stuff through them...
The N2O kit that I had was for my old 06 350Z, my 06 touring Z had full bolt-ons... the N2O kit brand was a Zex wet kit with all the goodies bottle pressure gauge blow down tube purge kit bottle heater Nitrous Express switch pannel Zex window switch. I had it installed and was going to run a 100shot with one step colder plugs and a tune. but sadly I waited over two weeks for the new Cobb software to get the tune done and I got a little mad so I went and test drove the 370Z that I currently own and then parted out the 350Z... But I did do a lot of research on the stuff before I pulled the trigger if you have any questions let me know.
