I had a problem with my Forgestar F14's clear coat failing within 4 months and 1,500 miles of ownership in a state that doesn't see freeze/thaw nor use road salt.

Get your wheels receives them as blanks from Forgestar and then finishes to your liking. Who ever they are using for coating is subpar!

They tried blaming my installer but when I told them i went to a high end shop that deals with all kinds of wheels in sizes up to 30" and showed pics of the machines they backed off. Then they admitted the coater was having problems with the clear that was used on my wheels.

They told me I had to cover dismount, shipping both ways and re-mounting costs to have them recoated.

Upon receiving them back the water that got below the clear damaged the metal permanently. So although recoated the damage can always be seen underneath. They did not tell me that prior to shipping back.

When approaching them about it they offered me a $50 refund on a $2100 set of wheels.

The replacement headlight came in early last week and it is definitely much better. There's a sharp cutoff on the low beam with a decent spread of light. (Pics to come later) I did however get...

Those are OE still and not in the best shape. That’s also part of the soon-to-be plans. Fresh bushings, aftermarket LSD, subframe collars. Our fantastic economy has slowed down some of my progress.

On the driveshaft length… I measured the original driveshaft and just shortening it by 1/2” would be a really tight install on my car. The drive flange was very close to the pinion shaft threads....

FWIW I have a gktech diff brace on my car with poly bushings (I think whiteline). Has been on the car ~3 years with many drift events and haven't had an issue.

Oil Changes are overrated!

One dead giveaway is if the knock threshold is crossed but the ECU does not retard timing. Plot Knock Sensor Cyl# vs Knock Threshold Cyl# - this should be plotted for the duration of a 15 or 20...

All of this. ^^ A differential brace is a bit of a hack created as the lazy mans way to mitigate differential movement. Will it massively reduce movement in the rear differential? You bet. But...
