I had a problem with my Forgestar F14's clear coat failing within 4 months and 1,500 miles of ownership in a state that doesn't see freeze/thaw nor use road salt.

Get your wheels receives them as blanks from Forgestar and then finishes to your liking. Who ever they are using for coating is subpar!

They tried blaming my installer but when I told them i went to a high end shop that deals with all kinds of wheels in sizes up to 30" and showed pics of the machines they backed off. Then they admitted the coater was having problems with the clear that was used on my wheels.

They told me I had to cover dismount, shipping both ways and re-mounting costs to have them recoated.

Upon receiving them back the water that got below the clear damaged the metal permanently. So although recoated the damage can always be seen underneath. They did not tell me that prior to shipping back.

When approaching them about it they offered me a $50 refund on a $2100 set of wheels.

Going to hit up Eugene about this tomorrow for my tune as well. Definitely want all the bells & whistles. Waiting on AT launch control until I upgrade the flex plate and torque converter though.

Exactly my thinking which I posted before. The fact that the scuff protector doesn't fully cover the surface it's applied to imo equals poor fit and simply wrapping the area would provide for full...

You can buy ester additive if you really want it. I did but valvetrain etc. noise was more prevalent sooner than with Liqui Moly Mos2 or Ceratec when using M1 0-40w in all trial fills.

Coolant, 170* Stat.(trial), radiator and heater hoses w/metal mender. BTW Nissan thanks for the amazing access on the heater hoses! :shakes head:

Love my Pioneer SPH-DA210 that I bought fresh factory remanufactured from a member here. It really woke up the OE Bose system, was plug and play via accessory harnesses including the steering...

From what I read in 370z forums some silicone hoses weep coolant and is why I have EPDM (oe rubber) ready for a weekend project.
