I have both OEM plastic shield and aftermarket aluminum ones. I’ll take the plastic one personally. The OEM plastic shield has a crease toward the back, meant to fold down for easy oil change...

My condolences as well. It's nearing one year from my mom's death and it's definitely tough. I console myself that she is no longer in pain and discomfort!
