I quit cold turkey 17 years ago after smoking 1 1/2 packs of menthol a daily for seven years. I just woke up one day during a particularly bad cold, lit a cig..it tasted like shyte, so i put it out...

Oh and be sure to honestly let your coworkers, family, and significant other that you are trying to quit and that you hope they understand for the next month or 2 you may be a little off your game....
