I used the metal gaskets and put a thin coat of the copper stuff on both sides of the gasket before installation. Helps it stick in place when lining up the bolt holes anyways, and hasn't leaked :)

ark is a "name brand" and they still have fitment issues. as does litespeed, as have some motordyne systems. nothing is perfect, even with a higher price

Doesn't matter. No ones gonna pay 3 hours additional labor for a TP job. RTV copper is 700*. It never failed me on a 1600* turbo, but I use a gasket with RTV on both sides.

well oxidation is taking place in the cat and it's an exothermic reaction (more heat) regardless cats are not going to be helping exhaust velocity. cats don't heat up the exhaust to work;...
