I ran the 10/8 combo daily for the 31k miles I got out of them with no issues. If you do that as well, take them out one morning and feel how they bite when they are cold. You will want to keep that...

About 20-30k miles if the rotors are new. That's what I got out of mine. You might see more than 30k, as your driving style might be different from mine.

It sounds like someone didn't know how to tape off a wheel. You should never have powder on the hub mounting surface, or the lug nut seats. I would find a new person to do the wheels next time.

I highly doubt it. You might also want to have a separate shop check your alignment to make sure it's not the machine it was aligned on the first two times.
