Distractions will literally be the death of you.

There are several cold air intake (CAI) systems available. I'm a fan of the Stillen Generation 3 (G3) intake. It's good for 18 whp for a total of about of about 352-354 HP. The assembly quality is exceptional, the polished aluminum finish really dazzles and it's the only one I know of that's CARB approved so it's emissions legal. It's the one I got. Honestly, I'm not sure you'd notice it in every day driving since, like all of the CAI's, most of the power shows up above 4k rpm at full throttle.

I was reading about these air flow intakes that increase the flow of air and increase the hp,..,Do they really work and is this wise with an auto transmission? I saw some advertized here..

Ok thanks for the tips! I just want to be sure that in the event I make a mistake I can get away with it...I damn near got killed the other day due to a mistake of my own..I was entering a road at 90 degrees and got distracted and started into the road and was just narrowly missed by an car going about 60.. Would have been a direct hit on the side and I would had no one to blame but myself..it was right after the superbowl and some idiot punched a hole in my sons walls when the Patriots lost..I was thinking about that and not about driving and damn near paid with my life!

another question..if you find yourself going too fast around a curve what is the best thing to do? I have heard that braking is bad because you lose traction,,.should you just try to steer your way out or should you apply some additional power? Just curious in case I find myself in that situation..

The information I'm familiar with suggests the following: 20s and 30s are on the cold side for DW's. It's not that they won't work all, at it's that there is a significant drop (compared to the DWS) in traction compared to their warm weather performance. If the driver is not aware of this condition, the reduced traction can come as an unpleasant surprise. If you drive far enough or fast enough to get some heat into the DW's traction should improve as the tire temperatures approach more "normal" ranges.

The factory Bridgestones were summer tires. How did they work for you? That would be your best indicator of the DW's suitability for your needs. If the Bridgestones got the job done you'd probably be good with the DWs. Are you thinking of going to the DW's?

What do you think of these guys that want to travel on the highway with VDC off? I mean how do they suddenly discover they are not as capable as they think? And what is the point anyway?
