01-24-2013 06:41 AM - permalinkredline727Not necessarily I had mine done at shop with my first one. I had SS rolled tips before I had the Ti tips. And they put the passenger tip on to far and made the tips appear to be uneven. Just enough that it was noticeable to me. And at first I let it go. But after a while it drove me nuts bc I knew it was most noticeable to people driving behind me and that doesn't look good on such a nice car. So one day untried to pull the tips out to the length Invidia designed them and that side I could not get off for the life of me. I got so frustrated I just ordered another rear section and beat that one with a hammer hahaha. Then I put on that rear section my self and made sure the tips were on perfect. I actually prefer them stick out the way Invidia made it. But that's just me I guess.

01-22-2013 07:31 PM - permalinkredline727The tips come uninstalled you put them and can push them in further if you want. It's not the easiest task bc they are meant to stick out past the bumper but it can be done. Just be careful bc if you push to far its near impossible to pull them off again. Also if you push to far in on the passenger side bc of the bend in the tail pipe it will make the tips to appear to be uneven.

01-22-2013 04:59 AM - permalinkredline727No, it is just a more restrictive HFC. The higher the cell count the more filtering material it has. But 300 cell is still way less restrictive then stock. Hence the reason HIGH FLOW cat.

01-21-2013 05:34 PM - permalinkredline727Not raspy at all IMO, you do hear the hiss sound on decel which is typical on any HFC or TP but that's it. They are 200 cel non resonated. As far as the throttle response I can't really say bc I went from test pipes to HFC so to me the TP felt better. But I'm sure going from stock exhaust to HFC and CBE it will feel great.

01-20-2013 08:36 PM - permalinkredline727Yeah that exhaust is really nice but between the cost, wait time, and how some people say they scraped it before I went with the Invidia. The quality has been great from all 3 of the products I had from them. Their customer service was great too. There was a leak from the flex sections in the x-pipe and they replaced both pieces for me under warranty no problem. They even recently redesigned that section doing away with the flex pipes and they made sure to tell me to wait for the new design so I didn't have to worry about it happening again.

Sweet. I am looking into the F.I TDX CBE and was on their website. It says that they modified their exhaust to rest a little higher than their earlier models due to the fact that some people had been scrapping theirs. Would you happen to know anything about that?

01-20-2013 05:44 AM - permalinkredline727From what I have read with a good tuner you may sacrifice some top end whp but will gain some very usable mid range whp. Most seem to say that I read that have it sacrificing a few hp up top (we are talking like beyond 7k in the rpm) is well worth gaining the mid range hp. It is more useable hp especially for these guys that track. Seems like a nice mod.

01-19-2013 08:42 PM - permalinkredline727I'm sure Osiris gives you the option. But I couldn't begin to tell you how. I paid for a custom Uprev tune at the shop I go to, so the tuner took care of everything. As far as what you will make its tough to say I made 335whp and 265tq on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno. With the K&N's, Invidia Gemini CBE, Invidia Test Pipes, and Uprev. I haven't been back to the Dyno since I had the HFC's put on. But I'm sure it's a little less. Results are different from dyno to dyno and mod to mod. Important thing is that you make more power and have a the best power curve your tuner can get you. I'm sure the Osiris is great but I would find a shop with a great tuner and just have someone do it on the Dyno. Bc I believe with Osiris you data log your car then send in your data and they send you a map to install. To me it just seemed easier to go to a shop.

01-19-2013 06:38 AM - permalinkredline727@gibby1113 when my car was tuned I actually had Invidia test pipes installed the same day. My check engine light did come on. Then when they tuned my car they disabled the rear O2 sensors so the light would go off. Shortly after I had to switch to HFC's to pass state inspection since the rear O2's were already disabled I can't say if they would through the light or not. But I do know that the Invidia HFC's are only 200 cell which is the least restrictive I could find so I'm pretty sure they will throw a check engine light. But if your definitely gonna get an uprev tune the tuner can disable the rear O2 sensors and light goes out anyway
