Yeah i put painters tape around the area before test fitting. The doors have 3 screws to take out one if which is by the opening handle thebother 2 are behind a rectangle panel in the cubby area...

I added a pinstripe to mine. Also covered all the red. So font is carbon and sides and rear are carbon vinyl

Another possibility is that you are setting your parking brake when your rotor are really hot. This can also cause your pads to stick to rotors and leave deposits. I hardly ever use my parking brake...
