Yes regular wire. Try to get something close the the gauge of the morimoto wire.

Hey bud, saw your post on installing the LED morimoto lights and DRL being to short, I just ran into that problem, is the wire just a normal wire you can cut and extend with another piece of wire and solder etc?

I knew I was pushing it with my questions. Useful knowledge to most but not for me. I'm close to 75 years old and chances are I will never want spacers again in my life. I may not even want them now....
