Yes, +1 on cup kits, maintain performance and less issue than bags. But OMG Top Secret makes some now...

Cup kit is on my 2014 wish list...especially if u saw the video in my journal about my garage entrance lol.

someone just forwarded this to me on fb... holey shiet.... its a top secret cup kit.... my god i am in love!!!!

What exactly does a cup kit do?

LostSol 10-09-2013 07:03 AM

A cup kit fits on top of coilovers and allows you to actually lift the car to get over obstacles. Many supercars come with them now so they can get into parking lots.

its kinda like air bags... raises your car when you want too  except you dont lose out your suspension because it does over your coilovers so no performance lost... on top of that if something were to happen with a cup kit... you can still go home.. you would be on your lowest setting while if you had airbags you would be stranded because it would be on the floor.... good for me cuz everything takes 2 weeks to arrive here... even overnight would still take 5-7 days to come to guam so airbags are outa the question for me unless i stock a spare bag in my house lol

So for my area (with shitty roads) I can drive around on a raised setting and when I get to an area with better roads lower it?

the only draw backs of cup kits is its only meant to raise your car for a couple of seconds... not prolonged amounts of time HOWEVER the brand phantom cup kits are a exception to this rule with cup kits... and so if you get a phantom cup kit yes you can raise your car drive past all the shitty roads and slam slam when the roads are nice :driving:

Voice59 10-09-2013 08:08 AM

How reliable are the aftermarket ones?

OMGWTFBBQ 10-09-2013 07:09 PM

... I'm just going to leave this here:

Cup Kit:
‘ŽYŽԁbƒAƒ‰ƒSƒXƒ^ƒJƒbƒvbƒAƒ‰ƒSƒXƒ^bTOPLINE

Coilovers:
‘ŽYŽƒŠƒXƒgbƒAƒ‰ƒSƒXƒ^bTOPLINE

I was going to get a set of Aragostas, but I think my Zeal coilovers work just fine. Plus they're rebuildable here in the USA. ;)

By the way, for the best pricing on Top Secret coilovers and cup kits, I'd hit up Bulletproof Automotive/370ztune. They're running the Top Secret cup kit on their s2000 and I'm VERY impressed by them.

i have no idea how i missed this post.... but one question can you drive on the cup kits over a prolonged time period? that my only concern because there are some areas i cant stop and air up.... i would air up and drive maybe 1-2 miles...

KaienZ34 10-13-2013 09:28 AM

The Phantom kit can.... :stirthepot:

simota1 10-17-2013 02:46 PM

:( there is a storm coming to guam... i am really hoping the predictions are right and its only a mild one.... but im really worried because there were times when i was a kid that they said dont worry about it and it ended up being a super typhoon.....SMH :( i secured my z already but im worried about other peoples houses with there debris flying into my house like the past typhoons.... wish my me luck fellas and im praying for the best....

Wiggins3377 10-17-2013 03:24 PM

best of luck

TheGreatOne 10-17-2013 04:08 PM

Hope you and the family stay safe, and that includes the Z!

Mr&Mrs 10-17-2013 04:26 PM

Be safe and a quick recovery of any damages to your country!

KaienZ34 10-17-2013 04:48 PM

You got this brotha, being 20 mins from the gulf down here in louisiana I feel your pain and my prayers are with you and yours.

Nut_N_Much 10-17-2013 06:42 PM

Stay safe brother.. Everything can be replaced don't stress. Just stay safe..:tiphat:

Reaper42 10-17-2013 07:28 PM

We gotta come build you a custom 6'' steel walled garage for your car! Cant let anything happen to that beauty!

GaleForce 10-17-2013 07:33 PM

Stay safe bud.

simota1 10-18-2013 10:40 AM

thanks everyone... it luckily missed guam... we caught some of it but thank god it went west.... https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...07318289_n.jpg

i was ready to chew my nails off the past couple of days.... the last typhoons that hit us way back when i was only a kid left grim reminders.... i remembered power poles snapping like twigs and 40 foot containers filled with crap being thrown around like nothing.... the worst part a lot of people who didnt have garages and parked there cars the wrong way, there windshields cracked and the windows exploded from the pressure.... i would have had a panic attack if i had to do go through that.... the worst ones was the guys with the roll up garage doors almost all of them blew in and damaged their cars.... i would have been so depressed.....

thanks for everyones support and prayers god gave me a break on this one :D

thanks guys ^^^^

well the weather is still pretty shitty around here.... bi polar heavy rains outa no where and then sun.... i didnt feel like opening up my shop today.... ive been exhausted from projects this week and since the weather has made me especially lazy i told my guys to go catch some rest.... meanwhile i decided to install my top secret fog lamp... top notch may i add... i pulled a brain fart installing it.... at first i looked at it and it came with a male plug and a flash module button and a flash controller.... i looked at it and said... fugin retards didnt seal the lamp itll moisture in no time.... so i sealed it with a **** load of silicone, about 5 mins later i pull out the oem fog and it has the same exact hole  i rushed to pull all the silicone off the top secret one :roflpuke2: plugged right in  since it doesnt come with nuts to bolt up you just double stick tape it on to mount, i just added a lil silicone on the top to hold it in place that way its not a mother to uninstall if i ever decided to take it off. i would like to add that top secret NEVER gives instructions LOL its always a guessing game... seriously.... none the less i love them still ;) it was a easy 3-5min install. Now the part that sucked balls was i had to pull out the oem muffler.... that POS weighs a fugin ton man.... especially if your tryna put it down by yourself and install it by yourself..... lucky thing my neighbor saw me with my legs in the air :icon17: and thought something happened to me LOL.... i was actually using my other leg as a leverage to lift the muffler back up so i can bolt it.... my neighbor jumped my fence and helped me... thank god anyways i talk to much so here is the pics.... you only realize the beauty of the Top secret fog lamp up close.... from far most people will think i have a evo-r fog :ugh2: which isnt bad but you know me... plus the leds on the evor fog look like tiny nipples to me.... the TS fog led looks like the oem taillight leds ;) i know im picky

here are the pics... its actually pretty bright at night..... and looks real nice im happy with it.... as far as the flashing option... im sure if i ever go to the track i can pop out the socket and press the on position for the f1 flasher mode

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...29008390_n.jpg

https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...10528283_n.jpg

on a side note i drove my z without the muffler... made me feel fast but the drone and rasp really killed it for me quick... drove around my block and opened her up a lil... its loud but too loud... didnt sound like music to my ears... it sounded like track noise.... :wtf2:

simota1 10-19-2013 04:45 AM

here is a night shot.... although i couldnt capture the beauty of the leds... i captured how freakin bright they are here is a picture...

https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...71166868_n.jpg

KaienZ34 10-19-2013 06:13 AM

Looks great man, using a leg to lift the stock muffler in and out is how i do it also.

GaleForce 10-19-2013 07:31 AM

Good job Jon. Looking good!
