Maybe a dumb question, but what's the clear hoses and canister on the right of the motor?

I think its the oil catch can ;)

Post a sound clip to once you get the canisters mounted, I would be interested in them as a temporary exhaust until I go FI or something.....plus they gotta sound better then the short tails no? :ugh2:

good price on them to!

definitely man.... im actually pretty excited..... no more "ru tu tu tu tu tu tudzzzzzzz" thats the rubbing noise i get from the oem exhaust.... :shakes head: glad i had my roof wrapped because if i didnt i would have never thought that rattling noise was because of the exhaust making contact with my rear bumper.... i always thought that my megan coilovers were giving out :bowrofl:

I'll have to look more but I can't find the Top Secret catch cans anywhere! I'm sure they are expensive and I'm not sure the titanium goes well with what I've got going on. I may make something. thanks for the idea!:tiphat:

they are discontinued :( together with there top secret strut bar and engine covers as well as there oil caps also..... i was actually lucky to get one of the last sets to be made.... i waited like 4-5 months... i couldnt remember.... but basically my buddy in japan ordered them... and when he went to check on the progress... they told him they were discontinued..... my friend then argued with them for about a week.... saying how could you say they are discontinued after making his customer (me) wait for MONTHS.... this was particularly screwed up because i had paid for it in full from the very beginning.... :shakes head:after 2 weeks they fabbed me the cans and sent me top secret shirts and stickers as a sorry for the mix up :ugh2:

simota1 11-14-2013 12:21 PM

I'm going to take a guess and say that most of the shipping hubs are in the Middle of the country. They probably have to go there first before they go out to you. :):tiphat:

mad props for WPPJR30 for the idea of notching the bottom of the e brake... it fit like a glove afterwards... no more machining needed... now i just gotta wait for the alacantra boots to arrive :happydance:

well... i finally plasti dipped my oil cap to flow better with my whole engine bay including my dip stick.... thanks to wiggins for giving me the idea.... the idea of me actually painting the oil cap was the original plan... but im tryna get the black TS cap with a rainbow insignia.... even more rare..... ;) so the idea is ill one day peel the plasti dip off the gold one i have and sell it off :happydance: thats IF i ever find one....

simota1 11-16-2013 02:17 AM

and one more thing... the plasti dip is black with silver metalizer same color as my rims....

Kingbaby 11-16-2013 12:37 PM

the yellow is an eye sore...I painted mines red

simota1 11-19-2013 02:38 AM

well my temp exhaust arrived..... the beluga racing axle back made my bumper rubbing even worse :shakes head:..... idk if its from buying all this jdm parts but i must say i now know i have a high expectations for parts that go on my z..... the first thing i noticed is the welding.... the welding is like my welding.... meaning its nice but it aint phenomenal..... second... the fitment..
my god if my life depended on the fitment i would have died over and over and over. The tips stuck out 3 inches or more... they look like my gibson exhaust on my f150 :bowrofl: even then i was like hell i can cut and weld the tips to make em shorter.... here was the deal breaker... the mounting points dont line up... and once you bolt everything nice and tight... the mufflers push my bumper upward now instead of forward like my oem muffler :shakes head: i tried for an hour until accepting my defeat.... i didnt even put back my oem muffler because of how upset i was. bottom line you get what you pay for... something i learned a long time ago but was hoping this one time i was wrong.... im gonna return them.... as i dont even think they are meant for a 370z rather a G37...... which i realized after my friend with a g37 with authentic tanabes said they look exactly like his exhaust... so it rang a bell in my head.... :shakes head:

KaienZ34 11-19-2013 05:38 AM

Well that sucks, sorry you had to be ginnie pig on this one.

LMBmikeZ 11-19-2013 08:48 AM

:iagree: sucks you had to be the one to try it out, but at least they were not super expensive and you also said you can return them :ugh2:

wheee! 11-19-2013 09:36 AM

wow, sorry to hear of the issues Jon! I'm sure everything will be fine once you get the REAL exhaust!

simota1 11-19-2013 12:55 PM

looks like those guys are gonna give me a hard time returning them..... :shakes head:

wheee! 11-19-2013 01:15 PM

Any friends with G37's around the island?

simota1 11-19-2013 01:38 PM

i got a couple.... however they all have exhausts already :(

simota1 11-19-2013 03:24 PM

well i woke up at 430 in the morning today... couldnt really sleep.... was so irritated and mad at the damn mufflers..... and also at myself.... i decided to try again.... this time passenger side first..... guess what.... perfect fit..... i was like wtf are you serious.....? the culprit is the driver side..... something is definitely wrong.... after messing with it for 2 hours..... i figured out the angle on the flange is the reason why its hitting my bumper....if i just bolt up the hangers (keep in mind there are two hangers on this side) everything is perfect..... the moment i tighten the bolts on the mid pipe.... it tilts the muffler to a point that its hitting the bumper..... :shakes head: i got to hear the mufflers though  i wont lie they are decent.... i actually like them (the sound). The only thing holding me back? the tips stick out like nerf bars or truck exhausts..... :( they look "ok" but to me its really the deal breaker and makes the back of my z look kinda ugly from the side view..... i have a plan though.....some cutting and tig welding to suck them in 1 1/2

carlitos_370z 11-20-2013 06:16 AM

Sorry to hear that bro!!! post some pics for reference if you can ;)

Hope you can resolve that problem soon!!
