What gives? Is that a function of outside temperature?

Yep

That's what I figured. Just wanted to be sure. Day 3 and no leaks or issues. Talked to Bill at Moore over the weekend and he's going to get the tune situation sorted out with Uprev and GTM today and then schedule some time to come in and finish the tune(s)

Yeah oil viscosity is going to change with temp and outside temps can definitely affect oil temp...

Plus as the metals in the engine expand and contract (at different rates because they are different metals) the tiny oil-filled gaps between parts will expand and contract as well.

Does anyone know where the oil pressure sensor is actually located on this car? Is that it hanging off the front of the upper oil pan near the filter? (There's two there, I think, I assume one would be pressure and one would be temp)

Yep, one is pressure and one is temp. There was a diagram posted somewhere (will dig it out) which pointed to which is which.

can wait to see those numbers :)

Currently at 450whp / 338 tq.

We'll be throwing on those Motordyne ART pipes before the tune though.

Well if you beat Baer then everyone will be happy. :p

I don't think anyone with a SC will touch your numbers for a long while.

Those test pipes will kill the TQ and the 92 mm pulley is to big.

I think he will end up with 475-485 HP and 355-365 tq

those are good numbers bro!!! you have stock internals or you forged your engine???

dmhenderson 08-19-2013 09:44 AM

Stock internals (currently). I'm not going to push it above 500 for that reason. I'll see where it ends up once the tune is tweaked but I'm hoping to land at about 475-480whp and 380 tq.

Please do not turn this into a dyno high score thread. That is not what I'm doing here.
